I have no idea why any of them would do such a thing.

Mendhak, come back. We Shaggy needs some competition in the pun contests.
I cant remember approving any of these posts!!
Atheist.... Welcome back.
Yuss! Everyone is coming back!
This forum is like sooooo 5 years ago
We will see how long it lasts...
I have returned from the dead and shall reopen the pub forthwith.
Where is my beloved Bodwad ?
Sorry, no dogs allowed.
But I miss him.:( He was cuddly and only rarely pooped on the carpet.
Mendhak, how's life man? LTNS!
I have to say that I don't get that nostalgic about programming languages, or not at all, as I do with Games so I would just have to say that I will just miss persons leaving but not dead languages (as much sympathy I may have for VB6 I, well, I really don't care).
Having said that I'm relived to see that there are many members here that joined earlier than I did and are still active so I don't feel that I am the old timer here.
I however do miss the good ol' API C development - posting on early 1.0, 2.0 on Microsoft mobiles. Was having a good time till MS decided to do it .net oriented. And then they decided to create W8 mobiles. Who is having one now? Muharrrhaaarrr! :P OK off topic.
Now it's Judas Priest time!!!
I'm not sure Wossy actually left in the end. He got sucked into the Internet of Things and nobody ever truly escapes the tentacular clutches of that forum. There are dark things in there.
He does have probably the best avatar on the forum.Quote:

Well I'm still hanging around! :-) And I'm glad to still see the regular names from when I joined such as kregg, dClamp, Mendhak and the likes. (Of course Wossy as well! :-D)
There's a few things I remember about CC in my day. (Which is not as far back as most here, but still a while ago...)
One was Wossy's brilliant jokes (Examples here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here
Hairball's obsession with Oceanebelle
Mendhak with his sciences... (And upside down text on his site...)
And how young and stupid I was back in the day!
Bring back BGF!
Ooooo, reviving an old meme with an excellent addition.
I don't understand what's so special about it. Extractor fans suck.

I've been a long time member of VBForums since 2004. I love the people here. And its sad to see people leave you've helped or gotten help from. Me personally, I haven't been as active cause I'm married now, and have a life. I've also been doing some hardcore coding in C++ and DX, as well as Android development with OpenGL ES 2.0. So I haven't been doing anything VB related in a very long time. I still code as a hobby, but never really got a job as a programmer. All because of a stupid piece of paper. And Miami may seem like it has programming jobs, but it's all C# SQL, MySQL, or just anything database related. Not that i don't know C#. But I think that job is over saturated if you ask me. What I want to do is actually make real software. Whether it'd be PC related or Android. I feel the only way I'm personally gonna get out of this cycle of working 3 jobs and once in a while going to school is to literally create my own software company by buying the name off of sunbiz.org for the $180 some odd bucks, and make game apps for Android by being a one man crew. Then it'd be like my apps are in a pool like the lottery and hopefully, eventually, one of my games will be a major hit, and id make millions on ad revenue and microtransactions. And then, when some big company with deep pockets takes interest, they'll buy my game for billions, and I can finally retire!
It's Miami. When I lived down in that area it seemed like the major job opportunities were stripper or drug runner. I hadn't realized that Miami Vice was a documentary until I had lived there for a couple years. It does seem like there ought to be some game development going on in the area, but when people think of Miami and silicon, they aren't thinking of chips.
I imagine caretakers would be in demand considering all the retirees.
Don't you mean undertakers?
