IT WAS ME!!!!
Bwaa Haa Haa Haa Haa Haa.
Well the guy I was thinking of, who hasn't posted now since around August, was dvst8. He just kind of turned up, argued a lot (he argued pretty well too, seemed a sensible kind of bloke), and then left.
Bonus points are still available :)
MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHATM
Both good answers...but not quite the one I'm looking for...he still posts, but not much in Chit Chat :)
Virtually VB did a lot as well didn't he.
Another good bit of Trivia for you.
How did all the religious arguments start?
How did they end?
Not quite sure how they started, usually with evolution or something, but they always ended with the thread being locked :D
Parksie - jdavison was quite often involved.
The big arguments started with a thread about whether artificial intelligence built by humans could ever be more intelligent than human intelligence. Also there were big arguments about Darwinian evolution vs other theories. Not sure which came first out of Evolution and AI, but I remember one thread that was just called "Evolution and AI". The religious arguments started with a thread by Kedaman about proof of God's existance, I think it was something to do with Kedaman's uncle.
Anyway since noone's grabbed the bonus points either I guess I'll give the answer.
The person with the immortal quote that will stick in my mind foreverwas none other than mikeycorn, who has now also disappeared into the ether.Quote:
I bent you over and violated you with my long shaft of truth
Another memorable quote was from Gen-X:when he was trying to prove that evolution happened through some procedural process, not through mutations. That one gave me a few laughs ;)Quote:
Why do you think they call it genetic code?
Correct :)Quote:

That was the guy, why did I get him comnfused with VVB?
You're all rightish about the way it started, nobody remembers how it finished though.
I don't think it ever did finish... it just got kind of left for an indeterminate length of time.
If i remember correctly, Gen-X started the religious arguments when i mentioned AI in the first place.
