Hmm where to start...

Police Quest series
Space Quest series

Leisure Suite Larry series (I was really hoping for no.8)
Civilization

Warcraft 1 & 2 (& 3 to come (Must see the trailers ... brilliant!))
Total Annihilation
Command & Conquer
Thief 1 & 2 (Also a brilliant Series)
Carmageddon (TDR was a let-down)

My best game is still StarCraft & BroodWars. I've managed to kill 5 (6 with zerg) allied computer players. After that the ammount of units comming after you gets a bit much :).

Marnitzg - Impressive, which species do you play as? I'm guessing terran, they seem to have the best defence if you have free units (although protoss have good defence too with no unit cost).

Parksie - Commander Keen rocks Duke Nukem 2 any day! :)

Wynd - There was something about casting explosion on soneone, galloping past someone in a horse halberd in hand, hearing that *whack* sound as you pass them, and then ebolting or flamstriking them just as the explosion kicks in that was really, really satisfying.... and you can't do that anymore... :(

Favourite PC games are:

Alligience - i love the idea but i need a flight stick and a decent connection

Silent Scope is a good fun game, i mean shooting peoploe from on top of a tower. real feeling of power. :) or is that just scary?
Madden 2001 the graphics on this game are awesome, i thought when i walked in on someone playing it that they were watching american football on tv and i am not joking.

and my favoutite commadore game was Ivan 'The Ironman' 4 x 4 racing. the graphics were really cool. and you could upgrade your car and everything :)

You say 'Call to Power' isn't as good as Civ2? Have you played 'Call to Power 2'? For me, it seems to improve on most of the 'failings' of Civ2...With the exception, perhaps, of the AI.

Such a cool game, are there any others like it - I have a taste for that kind of RPG genre now...

If any people wish to challenge us to a two on two then I'm sure something can be arranged, though the logistics may be a problem (esp. if you live in a time zone wildly differing to the UK)

Can do it with both but prefer protoss. Terran have good defense but suck at the end, except if you have 40 battle cruisers :)

Is there a lot of CS players?? I'm a big addict of CS! and if you are, what's your favorite map ?! For me it's cs_italy all the way!! And for the warcraft2 player who have the battle.net edition, Any challenge will be accepted! Just love that game !

Another REALLY good game that seems to have disappeared is Master Of Magic.
It was played like Civilization, except you could cast global spells, could summon undead armies, etc. It ruled. You even had the option to micro-control your battles. Nothing is more satisfying than attacking a town full of soldiers with a tunneling dragon. (pop-up, flame, go under, do it again) :D I wish i could find that game again. i REALLY want it!!!

I have to agree with compuGeek Silent Hill rocked, wasn't my fave game, but defintiely my fave of the survivor horror genre, as far as Final Fantasy goes every version kicked a$$ except pt 8. Just something missing to FF8 mainly character development and storyline, if any of you FF fans haven't played pt. 9 yet, it is the best of the series (IMO) even better than pt. 6 (or 3 here in the US).
