No, KoRn were against Napster, Bizkit were for it.... oh woe is me, who to side with
Actually, KoRn are pretty good, mostly at least.

I'm not sure if that was aimed towards me Katie, I hope not :p, but I seem to remember reading the judges made a descision without a trial. I have no clue where I thought I remembered that from, but here is a little information about the lawsuit:

Here's even more information:
http://www.napster.com/pressroom/pr/010212.html
Korn is infinitely better than Limp Bizkit!!!!!!!!
Here is another site worth looking at Nuke...read and then comment...in that order please.
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/napster/
I think they both suck!
a few of korn's songs are Ok, but most others I've heard are crap.
lumpy biscuit is absolute **** though.
I'm not a big fan of either, I prefer metally stuff.
I like Rock & Roll, Psychedelic Rock, Alternative Rock, Soft Rock, Country, Metal, Etc.
But I absolutely can not stand any type of rap
First, they are trying to shut Napster down because in the courts eyes they are stealing, so they issued an injunction to stop that until they have a trial. Its like I am stealing a $1000 for you a day, every day, so you take me to court to try and stop me and maybe get some of your money back. But my stance is that what I am doing is fair and you owe me the money. So what you rather do, have me continue to steal from you everyday till the end of the trail, or get an injunction to stop till the end of the trail. That the basic thought behind them trying to stop them now before the trial.
Second, Napster is trying to figure out a way to stop pirated MP3s, which is what the injunction says they have to stop, and keep their service up and running (Yeah Right, Good Luck With That). They have a certian amount of time to either comply with the injunction or have the government do it for them. I forget how long that is, it could be today, tomorrow, next week, next year, I dont remember. I thought they would shut their service down and make repairs to it then bring it back online. Guess not.
Third, they released a new version of Napster yesterday 9.6. Why they did that I dont know but I can only guess that it has something to do with them trying to end pirated MP3s on their service. We shall see.
Fourth, Limp is the one supporting Napster. When Limp had their free tour it was sponsored by Napster. Plus they have said all along they support the new way of getting their music to there fans.
Fifth, Limp is better than Korn hands down. Korns last album ate my NUTZ. Plus Megadeth is better than anyone, and everyone.
That's my 2 cents
Megadeth is definitely, hands down, better than Korn or Limp....I agree with you there!
Here's today's CNN story on Napster...

Better than anyone, and everyone, besides Green Day.
Good pull, Dennis!
Megadeth have some good tracks to their name, but I don't listen to much of it... I love the version of the Duke Nukem theme tune they did though ;)
this is what i heard. is that if the us says napster has to shut down it aint going to happen. cause thier in germany the us cannt tell germany what to do.
KoRn made LiMp BiZkIt. KoRn liked LiMp BiZkIt so they told thier producers and evenually LiMp BiZkIt got to make a cd and made alot of money.
denniswrenn: You have to be joking. Greenday!? Come on their recent CD stinks like my unwiped a$$. I will admit I like alot of their older songs. But come on Greenday better the Megadeth, no way. Lay off the crank.
Nukem: True the US cant tell Germany what to do, but the servers Napster uses are in the US. With out them Napster as it is today will not function. Plus if they were to open up shop in a new Country do think that the RIAA would not sue them in that country as well?
This is true. But the fact is, that Limp is a better band than KoRn, I can say that without any problems, but here are some facts. Limp's first CD, 3 dollar bill, sold 3x as many copies as KoRn's first CD. Limp's next 2 CDs out sold all of the KoRn CDs (4 of them) together, by an amount that I think was 1.5 times more.Quote:

Sure popularity and sales doesnt mean a band is good. Look at the Back Street Boys, or 'Nsync they suck so bad it hurts and they have sold 2-3X more CDs than Limp. But I would choose to see in concert, or buy CDs of Limp any day over KoRn.
Yeah the latest Green Day album isn't as good as the others, but it's actually not too bad if you listen to it a few times and forget what you're used to from Green Day. It's not very punky which is I think what causes a problem - it's just not what you expect. Still, the other albums are better.
I have to say I prefer Green Day to Megadeth also. Just personal preference. I listen to a lot of stuff though, thanks to Napster ;)
im on napster now. and if ur makeing a $h!t load of money on something i think they'll move severs to another contry.
i started when i was 8, and didnt want to buy cds. so i looked threw out the web, and found both limp cds on a site. thats how i started. then audiofind.com then napster.
I would ask what you're talking about, but then you'd try and tell me.
if napster is outlawed here, they can move to a diffrent contry. and still have the same amout of users.
I remember audiofinder, damn that was a bad site. 1 out about 100 times you would find something.
Dont get me wrong I want Napster to stay. I have had it since beta 5. Back in the days where if it wasnt a top 10 hit you would never find it. When there was like maybe 4GB of MP3s and no clusters of napster servers. If it wasnt for Napster I would have never listened to Limp, ICP, Danzig, Twiztid, etc. because I wasnt sure if I should spend the cash to buy their CDs. Which I did because I could really check them out. But I am a realist and I dont see how Napster as we know it today can continue they way it is.
I haven't heard Green Day's latest album, but Kerplunk, and Dookie are great, IMHO Dookie is the best album they put out. Nimrod and 1039 smoothed out happy hours are damn good too, though.
the record companys r getting cheaper that y no one buys cds. i got the new offspring cd from my parents this cristmass. it comes with about 35 min of music and then all these files for ur computer and videos and crap. they put the video from old songs and the video qualty sux!!!!
it might help if the record companys put more music and made cds cheaper.
I don't think the record companies should decide how much music is on a CD, that decision should be for the artist(s). Letting the big record companies have their way creates a purely profit-driven industry that pumps out crap boy bands and girl bands, then spends millions telling 12 year olds it's cool so they'll all rush out and buy the CDs so they can fit in.

Make sure you put in a RESUME feature so that when you get a transfer error, you can retry. I don't know why that feature doesn't exist (in beta 9.6?) since they have got to already have state data referencing the file. I don't see why the same reference would be meaningless, so they should allow a RETRY even if they don't allow RESUME from where you left off.
Maybe downloadaccelerator.com DAP type RESUME and MULTIPLE streams for the same file could be included in your (or napster's next) version.
The reason it is not in the betas is they are adding it to their pay verison of Napster. It is going to be one of the "features" they hope will make people want to pay money.
how much u want to bet they'll be a hack out so u dont ahave to pay???
I'm hangin' with me homies and chillin' with me coolies. Got problemo wid dat?
I don't have a problem with that, but what dose that have to do with napster being out lawed?
Absolutely nothing
