I got 47 on that scale....of course, that's partly because I don't know how to convert pounds to stones, so I just used the maximum. Is that correct?
Yes. Thats how the British army do their rations and equipment.

Take a look at this chart. I don't want you to give up on exercising but you probably only burned about 200 calories at that will not result in anything like the loss of a pound.Quote:

27 or 28....I forgot in the time it took to scroll down here. The site says I'm in the overweight range. I agree, but I don't particularly care. I guess that makes me lazy and apathetic.
...and might be the reason you're overweight.Quote:

Given that, though I intend to lose about 5-6kg through a little exercise, I have no intention of trying to hit an "ideal" BMI... I guess I've just got lots of muscle ;)
The BMI is only a guideline, so 1 point above is irrelevant, especially for people our height. Fat percentage is probably more useful for our height as it takes muscle into consideration. I'm currently at 12%
22.2
Good information. But when we start talking about fat percentages, I immediately think back to the one time I played San Andreas and ate until I had maximum weight... It wasn't that good really, but I wanted to try it. I'm sure I'll lose weight when I finish this job, because I'll have an addition 10 hrs or so to play with for a little while, so I can do all the exercise/streches I've been wanting to do for about 2 months...Quote:

If you actually lost muscle mass you didn't eat enough. According to the chart I linked to, cross-country hiking burns about 400 calories per hour, so if you walked at 2 mph that's 200 hours which would be about 80,000 calories which is probably about a month's worth of meals. How long did it take you?Quote:

That's pretty thin for a 6'3" guy. I couldn't swim any more (I sank), I couldn't hold my arms over my head for more than a few seconds, and I doubt I could have done more than three or four push ups, though I didn't actually try (I was too busy keeping my pants on, though they had fit four months earlier).
Congratulations on being able to do a hike like that! Where was it and what is the AT?Quote:
