the only one I did get myself was the ace of spades as it is an old classic. The reason I was foiled with the last one is because I though machinehead was a band and just used that instead. Ohh well it's a fair cop guv
Ian
And don't forget the joker!
How about
'Behead,
Watch you spurt like a garden hose,
Behead,
Bloody mess all over my clothes!'
or
'I want to be a drug sniffing dog,
so I can snort coke all night long'
( I almost had a typo, and left the 'd' out form drug, leaving a rather different dog!)
or, by the same band
'The fork is a cold shiny tool, to pierce tear and ingest,
Who ever has the fork in hand controls the meal of his choice,
We're told the first few punctures, there for our own good,
Better torn up in pieces, than bown up in the oven!'
or perchance
'I have to go to Mexico, I have to go to Mexico for Mushrooms!'
or even
'Poor tired patthetic little sheep, tyting to limit me with their dicotomy, Human minds only know two kinds, and I'm number three, Human race don't give sh** about me!'
or a strange one
'Knee High! Arygle! Two! I was thinking of you whist I j*rked off into my sock last night...'
maybe
'Fish F*** baby, going to F*** you with a fish, going to take a river carp, and ram it up your butt, you slut, you *****! Why are you my Mum? Why are you my Mum? Why are you my Mum? Fish F***!'
and finally
'Green Plastic watering can,
for a fake Chinese rubber plant,
on fake plastic Earth.
That she bought from a rubber man,
in a town fulll of rubber plans,
to get rid of itself,
And it wears her out, it wears her out, it wears her ouy, it wears her out.
An she lives with a broken man,
a cracke poystyrene man,
who just crumbes and burns.
He ued to o surgery, for girs in the eighties,
but Gravity always wins,
And it wears him out, it wears him out, it wears him out, it wears him out.
Mmmm, brings back memories!

alex. I'm honestly 21 in case you forgot
shut off the t.v and peel off those sunday gloves,
and I'll stain the clean that you've been counting,
old mr. fletcher passed by here today,
after 40 years of toil he just up and walked away,
fantastic the panic that showed in his eyes,
he shrugged when I asked him about it,
he said "young man pay heed, you listen well to what I say,
now there comes a time for a man to walk away",
Anyone?
Gee, er, thanks there Ian (or Lain :D however you want to spell it)! Just the question of why you put that is bugging me!
Crispin, I haven't a clue! what song was that?
Bad Religion - "Walk Away", from Against the Grain - 1990
If I remember correctly alex, it was ment as a joke in context to the thread of something you said. oh yeah I remember, you said something about me being old, so I thought I would have a laugh.

Quote:
And I just do not cut the patience...
To deal with these cocky caucasians
Who think I'm some wigga' who just tries to be black
'cause I talk with an accent and grab on my ballz.
So they always keep askin' the same f**kin' questions...
What school did I go to? What hood I grew up in?
The why, the who what, when the where and the how
'til I'm grabbin' my hair and I'm tearin' it out.
You've been drivin' me crazy. I can't take it.
I'm racin' I'm pacin'. I stand then I sit.
And I'm thankful for every fan that I get
But I can't take a **** in the bathroom
Without someone standing by it...
Ahhh, the way I am I believe, heard the bass on stan? about 4 lines in it's absolutly cool.
Just messing around Ian :D, thought we'd left that bit. Oh well...
Doubt ANYONE will get that one :D :D (another quote from the same song - the popes on lsd)!Quote:

Drat, Drat and Double Drat, someone else knew the Go-Gos (My Fav band :D)
[Edited by alex_read on 10-04-2000 at 11:53 AM]
no seriously, who the hell are the gogo's
Is the no serious bit really serious?
This is the group Belinda Carlisle used to belong to (one reason I like them :) )
They made an impact in the early 80's aparently (I a too young to remember - 20), and got copied by loads of bands. A lot of people like Kurt Kobain for example used to like them.
You asleep yet then? or are you going to post another lyric for me to get! :D
easy one.
"...you wanted to dance, so I asked you to dance..."
:p
Me again, it's me again
Ain't I what the whole world wants to be?
Me again, it's me again
Last of the great pretenders my friend
'Everybody loves a joke but noone likes a fool'
Green Day - '*******'
Dancing in the moonlight!
One of my favourite songs! (from Toploader)
Love, day after tomorrow...!
Also one of my favourite songs! (from Mai Kuraki)
Well since nobody got it, the lyrics on my previous post...
Me again, it's me again
Ain't I what the whole world wants to be?
Me again, it's me again
Last of the great pretenders my friend
... are from One Minute Silence, "Fish Out of Water".
Now for a classic, someone must know this one:
Needlework the way, never you betray
life of death becoming clearer
Pain monopoly, ritual misery
chop your breakfast on a mirror
Taste me you will see
more is all you need
you're dedicated to
how I'm killing you
No search engines! And if nobody gets it I'll kick all your asses!
Haven't a clue on that one!
You just better hope someone else gets it then or it's ass-kickings all round :D
ian to the rescue, no arse kicking needed, apart from harry's
master of puppets - metalica
Hooray! Ian, you have redeemed yourself for your earlier mischief ;) Congratulations.

Dammit, on the tip of my tounge...

Then our world wouldn't be so overcroweded,
Shrink ourselves down to size,

Hopefully not to hard for a bunch of muiscal experts!

They don't bark and they don't bite
They keep things loose they keep it tight
Everybody's dancing in the moonlight
We like our fun and we never fightCode:Dancing in the moonlight!
Everybody's feeling warm and bright
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancing in the moonlight
You can't dance and stay uptight
It's a supernatural delight

Everybody's feeling warm and bright
It's such a fine and natural sight

Umm, not quite  Still good taste nonetheless :)
what was the right answer? I can here the music in my head but I can't seem to find the title in there anywhere.
It's Bush - Comedown. Bush are an old favourite of mine. Used to be grungey, but nowadays they've included more electronica style stuff, and it just doesn't work. Ahh well, I guess bands change. Sixteen Stone was their best album. Glycerine is one of my all time favourite songs, you ought to listen to it if you don't know it already.
guess what song that is...Quote:

Harry's not allowed to guess because I just told him about the song...
Hehe, I thought it looked familiar :)
come on. somebody guess....
everytime I say something people stop talking...
come on. it's been like a day. somebody guess....
I checked out Bush last night. I love the line about "what's real and what's for sale". Some of the CD was a bit sloppy for my taste but not bad overall!
Uhh, okay I feel kinda dumb now, but which song is that from? I couldn't place it.
I just remember that the whole song is about questioning who'se pulling the strings...who stands up for themselves...I'll check it out tonight and let you know.
Which album was it?
Ok, you give up... it's offspring - bad habits
try this one:
yeah, seek and destroy, yeaaaaaah seek and destroy, yeaaaaah, seek and destroy
what group sang that?
obviously the title is "seek and destroy"
but by who?
I'm not sure about that either. I just checked your post above to see if it was the same one and it wasn't. Disregard. I'll check out Glycerine this evening and get back to you.
Ok, cool :)
Dennis, it's Metallica.
ding ding ding, harry won,
BTW baark, I knew he was talking to you... I just decided to reveal the answer since nobody even posted an "I don't know"
