Like I said in the statement above, WE are the community but everyone was bickering about the ad's and I'm still not positive the rules have been changed and I heard rumors about deleted posts so I don't feel we have much of a community left...

People rarely actually get in contact with us.
We only ever get a thread reported to us where someone calls the mods a bunch of ******s.

When someone does take the time to properly request something in forum feedback, it is discussed by the moderators and administrators fully.
We don't ignore people's requests.

And we don't delete usually delete threads either.

Your a mod, if a post is addressed to you, then your in contact, no matter where the thread is.

There seems to a lot of threads calling "mods a bunch of ******s" lately... wanna play the guessing game in an attempt to work out why?

Out of curosity, Midgy requested a post dump on the 23 (assumming he/she still wants it, which appears so), its now the 4 of December. 11 days without a visit from an Admin. Do u want to play the "see how long it takes game?"

(Some other argument here)

I'm not having a go at you Jamie(if thats considered having a go..), just the system. :)

Hundreds of threads are created every hour of the day, across 10 or 15 or so different forums.
If a thread is simply addressed to us, there's no guarantee that we'll see it.
If someone sends us a PM or email though, we will deal with it.

Regarding the mods are a bunch of ******s stuff.
That's because the admins put in adverts, and everyone got pissed off at it.
Most of those who got pissed off probably weren't here when the site used to have popup ads!

Regarding that post dump.
The admins contacted us telling us that they would all have very limited access for a few weeks.
They're the only ones who can help, and they're just not around.

Now having said that, I don't want to help anyone with that particular request either.
I only replied in thread because I'm a mod.

I think I was here when popups were around... can't remember.. a long time ago. Speaking of adverts, you call that an advert? I call it a whole new site sitting on the top of a page. The "standard" width for a popup has gotta be half the size of that. And I read the other day that they'll add popups/side ads if thats what the advertisers want... kinda says that the admin don't know what there doing, unable to control those who pay their bills.

Drifted abit... all well. I'm not getting paid for this :)

1) Yes it did. And this was all discussed between the mods and admins after it happened. It has since been resolved.

2) Yeah I know he did, but I don't think it'll happen.

well not just the advt strategy but also basic screen design. if anyone wants to learn how to screw up a perfectly (almost) made design, it shud be here.
the size of the advt header plus the vbf header itself occupies half the visible webpage size.. and the time it takes.. and more blah blah blah....
