Jenny, apparently you have seen some of McDonald's staff. I think (at least a few of them) consume too much of their own product. I doubt eating said staff members would constitute a lo-cal diet.Quote:

cooks generally have an idea what Rare means (still mooing)
and what medium well means (mistaken for brick)
but everything in between seems to be subjective and dependent
on alignment of the planets and such.
I mean, several visits to the same place will yeild the same results, but
from restaurant to restaurant there is quite a bit of variation.
and that's all I have to say about that.

Not sure what I was thinking. Medium Well is a mistake.
Medium is how I like, a bit pink. Medium Rare to medium, but
I find if I order steak medium rare, it does not come warm enough.
Anyway, I was talking about cooking it myself. Although I can't
remember ever cooking myself a steak and claiming that it
was medium well. Hmm.
If I order out I go with "medium- a bit pink" Much like Mr. Caffeen pointed out.
