None of you know the 'real' situation, none of you are on the front lines, none of you are (AFAIK) in Al-Quaida (however that's spelt), privy to their top-secret plans for who they're going to blow up next. You're arguing about something you don't fully understand, and to pretend you know The Truth^TM is just dumb.

Besides, you've gone way too far with the insults to have the slightest chance of changing each other's opinions. People only listen to those they fear or those they respect. Noone in here fears anyone else (well actually just the thought of Jamagei sitting on me gives me the shakes...) and if you're looking for respect (doubtful) you're going about it the wrong way. True enough. I'm not professing to know any truth, just arguing that the attacks on the whole country were out of line, regardless of what a minority group did.
I don't expect respect for any of this and of course no one is scared of anyone (I don't expect you to know I am a 6ft, 110kg, Muai-Thai kickboxer, who eats babies for breakfast :) ) but the ideas promoted by certain people piss me off.

That's all furry muff, you're entitled to your opinion but noone really knows how much A-Q (that's easier to spell ;)) was linked with the Taleban, if at all. Or any other group for that matter. I mean, they could have been entirely independant or they could have been different sections of the same large terrorist organisation. Only the people at the top would know. Basically, everyone here should be free to have an opinion but I think we should all realise that we don't know anything for sure.

Hey careful what you say about Chino Moreno! The Deftones are awesome, probably my favourite band, and Chino's voice is irreplaceable.. I don't know about the hip hop side of it but for the actual singing and general sound I can't think of anyone like them.

I don't really give two hoots about religion - I just don't like the american attitude. Maybe I should ride in my own car. That way I can blast Machine Head, and you boys can take turns with the hip-hop.:D

I don't know what it is, mostly just the fact it sounds like gibberish, even once I've read the lyrics. I like the style, and they have their moments, but they're down on my list. I like some of Moreno's collaborations with Soulfly. That is cool. I can handle his blathering in doses. :D

I have a big variety of musical taste. My CD collection is worth about $4000AUD. I don't even know what I've got anymore. :D

Lyrically, I guess that song you posted earlier is good, but it just doesn't mean a whole lot to me, it just seems like the same stuff I hear in most hip hop of that style. I'm no connoiseur though. I'm usually more interested in the attitude of the song that the lyrics - maybe that's cos most of the music I listen to is mainly shouting and it's hard to follow what they're saying ;) And of course, there's the riffs. I am still a riff *****.

It took me a long time to really get into White Pony too, but it really is a work of art when you can get into the vibe of it. It's not an easy album to listen to but it's well worth the effort. I still prefer the more raw edge of Around the Fur though.

I have no idea what my CD collection is worth, I have it all over the place. I have a crate of CDs downstairs that my housemates keep hassling me to put in my room but I already have a desk full of CDs up here. I keep about 10-20 at any one time in my car too usually.

Somethin' like that. Cd's are worth about $30 for an album, $10 for a single. Plus I have a crapload of 'rare' and 'unauthorised' stuff. Some quality tunes for about $2 at times. Love it. :)

I can't make a top 10, since my tastes evolve constantly. I go through phases of different styles, from nu metal to chilled out trance to grindcore to hard house to more classic-style contemporary rock... I never have a top 10. Having said that, if I did have on, all those you mentioned would be pretty high up, especially Slayer & Static-X. Static-X are so different they get a lot of kudos from me. The most similar I can think of to them would be Zombie (Rob/White/whatever), excellent in his/their own right.

Additions I'd have to make from other genres would be the Prodigy and Faithless. Sepultura (the originals, with Max) would definitely be in there too.
