Oh ya i am actually ford_prefect_ I lost the pass for this account and since i used the same pass for my e-mail i couldn't send it to myself (if they even have that option). So i created a new account. 5 minutes after that happened i found my regular pass and could get into this account. If you would please update the teams to read Gandalf_Grey_ it would be greatly appreciated. I won't lose my pass again! :)

When are we going to get started on this thing. There havn't been any new signups in like 5 days and this post isn't even on the first page anymore. If we set a difinitive date (as in you must sign up by then) then we might get this off the ground. Any word yet on the challenge which we will do?

Chalk me up for the UK team unless its too late.

I have an idea for a challenge: Devise the fastest algorithm for sorting 1,000,000 records of data, each record is 100 bytes, the first 10 bytes is the Key field.

The algorithm must be original, no plagiarising code from the masters.

We'd need an adjudicator with a fast PC and a stopwatch!

What do you guys think?
