filburt1 - I personally haven't got a problem with what you do, post naked picture's of the pope for all I care. I personally always say thank you for anyone's help and if they wan't to acknowledge my thanks then that's fine. Just don't start being stupid and threaten to do things like that as it just makes you look bad. :)

My final thoughts: saying :cool:, No prob. :cool:, or You're Welcome is polite and is not a very significant portion of your post count. Even so, the post count is not a measure of anything important. You can always find out how many posts a user made by clicking the appropriate link in the user's profile.

Post counts doesn't really count your contribution to the site. I only have 183 listed as my post count yet I have over 10K posts to my name. Does this bother me? No, it does not!
I don't think post counts are the issue. I think what is the issue is if you get all excited because someone has answered your post and then you find out it's someone just saying the same thing as the person above.....it can really be annoying to see post in the other forums that do not help answer the questions.
Saying thanks, or your welcome generally don't bother me because by the time I've said thanks, I've found a solution (thanks to some very helpful and patient people). Just don't toy with me when I haven't found an answer yet by posting non-useful posts in my serious threads!
