I say sorry to kovan coz i think i was one of the first to start up about his lovely mum!:rolleyes:

But this is were a totally disagree:
Kovan you say your offended by ppl giving crap to your mum but you dont stop to think that ppl may be greatly offended by calling them gay etc.

Eye for and Eye i say if you can take dont give it. I dont care what the subject. Bieng it calling ppl gay or giving crap about there mum.
If you give me crap i'm going to give it back to you in any form i feel like.
And if you dont like it then dont dish it out.

if you want to make fun of someones mom then pm them or email them. email me I don't care, but since the mods are gonna ***** a fit then just stop. if you don't then you will get told about it or maybe banned. I agree that is was only a joke and I can kid with the rest of them. I enjoy the jokes once in awhile. in fact I do it just like the rest of them. but the mod's aren't going to put up with them.

john has agreed to have it moderated and we should abid by them. it won't go away, I have seen other forums that are moderated and they don't seem to mind.

the fact is that they are here and they ain't going away, so keep the jokes to a certain level and let it be.

Don't get em wrong. I love this place and you guys are the best as far as jokes and VB information goes. you guys are smart when it comes to that. I have been helped a lot and I appreciate it. but the mod's are here to stay and just put up with it.

I do agree with Beacon, if you can't take the heat then get out of the kitchen. if you joke with the rest of them and you can't take it, don't do it.

What would then be the point of posting on this, if some oneo may disagree/not support your views can censor the post. Agreed on the swearing front etc, and will not make any comments on kovan's mum...(how can you make that much out of a test tube after all)....but find it mildly insulting if MartinLiss is censoring postings. This after all is what the Nazis did in Germany, and the Liberals do in Australia.

Jethro: If you notice, this thread started out because I wanted to try to help tone down the slurs that were being directed at kovan's mother. You can judge for yourself if I was successful or not. In any case I censored the kovan's post because the language was inappropriate. You may believe that either or both of those actions of mine make the site boring, but I don't think that most people do.

Kovan...you are taking this waaaaay to seriously. If you don't like what they are sayng don't listen (its a different story if your mother accidentally sees the computer, then some slaughtering may occur :p ). But seriously, why do you care so much if some of these people talk about you or your family. You will never see them in your life, it's not physically effecting you in any way. Why are you making such a fuss about it. On msn simon, ian, mike and everyone get into their insulting phases, they insult my mom, but whats the problem? It's all in good fun. It's not like they will come over to america and find my mom ( :eek: ). Settle down...you take things too seriously, and the more seriously you take this, the more you will get insulted. People insult others who take things seriously because its funnier when someone with dignity gets upset over such a little joke. Just play along and it all stops. If you don't want to play along, do us all a favor and leave, becase all you are doing these days is complaining and it gets really annoying!
