I once wore a pink panther costume to work after the boss said we were all to come in, in suits. He saw the funny side of it luckily.
So did the client....

You're right, some people like it and other people (like me :) ) don't. In my first grade, I was in a private school, and I had to wear a "suit" like 4-years old babies do :(
But that only happened 'til the 4th grade, then you could dress what you want :)
When I have to dress in a formal way, I wear a shirt, but without the buttons (you know what I mean ;) ) and jeans. I don't like suits - here in Portugal students who dress like that make part of a "style" that I don't like (I could even tell ya the name but you wouldn't understand :p )
