It was a malicious move from Cor Ligthert (the power user). A Microsoft site must NOT be treated like that.

Um, maybe that's true of THAT particular thread but if you would read what I actually wrote and what Cor Lithgert wrote then you would know that it's because of what that member did in OTHER threads that was the issue. Perhaps more time reading and less time shouting is in order.

"Let sleeping dogs lie"
The good news is - whilst MS are not touching it, they are not stuffing it.
I am happy with the way things are.

Did you see anything in other threads ? I didn't, though I may have logged off by then.
What I did see from Megan didn't seem any reason to close her account and delete her posts. Certainly she was passionate about her arguments, but that is no reason to ban someone.
Paul P Clement accused her of being 'Mike or Karl'; then Cor Ligthert said "Karl or Mike, whoever it was started spamming old VB6 threads with all kind of links, therefore the account of him is removed from this forum.".
As all her posts are removed it is difficult to know the truth. Crazypennie assured me that she was removed for spamming other threads and I am happy to accept that. I do think that banning Megan was an over-reaction though, it looks (at best) like punishing her for her enthusiasm.

I didn't see any posts in any other threads but then I didn't look. I would suggest that banning the user was punishment for not obeying the instructions of a moderator. If they were spamming unrelated threads and refused to stop when told to do so then that is grounds for being banned, whatever other good that user may have done.

No one else I have spoken to saw anything either. And Megan said she didn't spam.
A problem on that forum, of course, is that even mentioning VB6 is regarded as 'spam' by some.
Either way the thread has now been moved 'off-topic' because it "contains little valuable information on either language, and is full of flaming and childish replies."
Mmm, first Megans's posts are deleted and she is banned, then the thread is moved because it "contains little valuable information". But of course no action is taken against those making "flaming and childish replies".

Megan, a VB6 programmer, made them all to be ashamed of themselves. Anyway this issue has the top comments on that site so I concluded that the site it is not so important!
I remember that Megan showed the top programming languages and Mr. Monkeyboy (MCC) did a print screen of the site "What is the best programming language in the world ?" and modified the rankings in Paint to put VB.NET on top ... and posted as real !. Are these the MPV's and MCC's of Microsoft ?! This guys embarrass many serious MPV's out there :(

For instance, the user Cor Ligthert and Crazypennie is trying to deviate from the topic by posting funny pictures for he could not cope with sten2005 and SuperDre relevant explanations about VB6 (though sten2005 twice is responding to their questions).
Cor Ligthert is a shame for all MCC's and MPV's out there!
So I realized that these guys are not even at our little fingers when it comes to value and intelligence! Megan had given them some amazing VB6 examples of cryptography (comments now erased by Cor Ligthert) and at the end they did not have what to say! ... so, Cor Ligthert considered that erasing her comments will not be noticed by anyone, but it was !
VB6 programmers are indeed superior, this is why VB6 is here and live!
