Akash, welcome to VB Forums. Two tips:
If you want people to call you 'champ' or whatever other name you want, don't go asking them to do it. Because then they will call you anything but that. Add a signature to your posts and sign it off as 'Champ'. Something like this:
The other tip is in the chit chat forum, people don't always mean what they post. There will be some who will help you, some who will make fun of you (good as well as bad natured), so if you want to hang around the chit chat forums, be sure you can check your emotions, i.e. keep them under control.Quote:

Regarding game programming, pick a simple game you want to develop. Say a tetris like game. Understand the different phases, such as designing the game, the sprites and the coding. Write them all down in a notebook and start working on it with whatever you know. Publish this game plan and your progress on it in a single thread in the Games and Graphics Programming section. This way the members who can help you out can keep a watch on what you are doing, suggest corrections and solutions in case you get stuck.
