No need to bleach! You should see the looks I get when I tell someone that I am a programmer. They look at me like there was no way I was telling the truth. To tell you the truth, I only know of one other blonde female programmer at all. Why is that?

Well, if you are an attractive blonde female (or male, not to be Gender Bias), then there is an automatic assumption that you will act and talk in a specific way. When you say that you are a programmer then people probably get thrown by the fact that they are talking to an attractive blonde who you can actually have an intelligent conversation with....

There's a blonde girl I know who I initially did think was kind of... well a bit dippy. She is very very girly, she is obsessed with pink things and she collects Barbies. Well anyway I got to know her a bit better and she is remarkably intelligent, and moreover quite sensible on the inside. I never thought I'd get on with her but I guess I was proven wrong.
