The quality of submissions this time looks much better than last time's. Good to see.
Reventon I like your first entry a lot but I think you could have made it a little bit better if you used some photo editing software. You could have rotated it clockwise a few degrees to make the horizon line straighter and I would have perhaps cropped out the cable from the ship.
Oceanebelle I liked your entries in the last contest a lot. Not as much with this contest but they are still good. I would have entered into this contest the picture that you posted on Dec 17 where you said

And since I'm in my handing out advice mode right now, I Love My Vans you said you were looking for tips on how to improve your photos. I like your entries in the last contest more than in this one. Your McLaren Mercedes F1 shot I would have liked to see a wider angle on it so that I could see the whole car. You said it's one of your favorites so for you it works but if you're concerned about getting votes then it has to be desireable to other people.
I personally think you shouldn't be interested in getting votes. Give your best. Enter into the contest those pictures that you feel are your best photos but don't be concerned with results. That's my attitude. I think you'll enjoy life more that way. In other words it's just for fun. Don't take life too seriously. It's only a dream.

Absolutely true, I would have prefered to have more of the car in there myself, but curcumstances prevented me from doing so, first issue was I was in a moving group of about 100 people, so me staying in the same placed for the 20 seconds I needed was difficult, second we also had people eaither side bending on to the car for photos, touching etc.Quote:

At this rate we'll be up to 100 photos in no time. I know which one I'll vote for if none of the 27 remaining entries beats it. Don't ask me which one though because I'll keep it a secret.
I'm really struggling to make up my mind, I've got quite a few favorites.

I was looking at all the entries and I noticed that abhijit had 5 pictures in his post but only 2 of the 5 pictures are shown among the 73 entries. There might be some special reason for that or perhaps someone missed something.
Entity 'Sherlock' X, Abhijit, has edited his post to add another 3 pictures.

Umm.. Id like to enter some pictures. They arent the best, by a long shot, and the cameras they were taken on arent great either, but oh well..

I thought id take a picture of what i was about to climb, for this one, as it looked quite a feat.

My most recent Munro, had only just stopped raining for the first time in a good 4 hours when i took this
Flower Of Scotland
Again, from my most recent Munro, i liked the colours of the thistle.
The pictures were all taken by me between 2005 and present day. I climb Munros as a hobby, so i always get a good opportunity to take some pictures.

Just wondering cause I was up in duck when that came thru (we didnt get anything from it .. suuny and hot..lol) the 2 shots i just posted. 1 was in duck (the moon) the other was in Kittyhawk under the pier behind the Hilton.
It was August of 2005. We were actually at Salvo, but who know's Salvo. It was just a late afternoon storm.

That's what makes it interesting. The reaction on their faces I think is sort of interesting. Another answer I could give to your question is, why not.
