And from those two quotes, it's obvious that it's not just great minds.Quote:

I agree that we shouldn't be buffaloed by anybody. That's irrelevant to my point, though.
Your point is pretty irrelevant. Go and find me a trivial definition for triviality.
Funny, I was thinking much the same. Oh crap, here come's Gambo, all we're talking about is the weather and somehow he's going to start frothing at the mouth and ranting about the democrats..... :ehh: Run away, run away :DQuote:

So maybe he feels that he got burned a bit by them, rather than following his own brains, looking at the "evidence" provided and realising (as pretty much the rest of the world did) that it was all circumstantial and peaced together by people with an agenda.Quote:

Now, don't get me wrong, I really have no problem with you posting all of this stuff, you're more than welcome to your opinion. But it has become so obviously an axe that you are trying to grind, that to be honest, I have mentally pigeon-holed you into a group of people who blindly follow their party line no matter what they think for themselves. Now, I did remove you from the pigeon-hole with one of your posts, when you said that you where not anti-democrat, but then you went back to the usual company line of "na na na na - we're going to win" sort of thing and I firmly placed you back in the pigeon-hole.
That shouldn't concern you, as you have every right to speak your mind, however you do come across as very biased, which instantly makes people take any opinions you post with a pinch of salt. "Oh - oh, here's Gambo on one of his rants".
It's like people who refer to Microsoft as Micro$haft and think that they're being funny, all they are really doing is letting people know that their opinion is to be taken lightly.
Now in fairness, maybe you have pigeon-holed me in much the same way, but at least I try to be semi-impartial in my tone (if not my content :) ). I think it would reduce the eloquence of my words if I referred to Bush as Bu$h.
Anyway, like I say, much as I really dislike Hillary Clinton, why the "Shillary" moniker?
Have to agree with Shaggy, the liberals do seem to represent the smarter faction in this country while the republicans - well can we just say "George Bush"Quote:

Wait, you mean it doesn't stand for Vote Bush??Quote:

Can't we all just get along?
lol, about the sign. I bet that owner has a shotgun stored away somewhere, and talks with a southern accent.
Oopps, sorry, there I go again with the stereo-types. :-)
If you can't speak english, then that's your problem. The fact that someone asks another to speak in English because they can't speak every single one of the 200+ languages in the world does not really constitute discrimination in my opinion.
I'm looking for the option that says
"It's discriminating and THAT'S OKAY!" (with capital letters please)
It's alright, you can just select Yes, you don't need to explain to anyone.
We should have one of those in Danish shops - "You're in Denmark, speak Danish!", that'd work wonders for the turism industry
Cheese Danish, or Raspberry Danish?
-tg
The ones with the powdered sugar on the top
Is there a different word for Danish in other languages? There should be a universal word for things like Danish, Pizza, Beer and lets make one for cheesesteak while we are at it so everyone can order cheesesteaks at that place.
In Danish it's "Wienerbrød", and Wien(Vienna) is the capitol of Austria - a mysterious plot is forming. Will we ever be able to discover the real truth behind the Danish?(AND CAN WE HANDLE IT!?!!)
Just in case any one missed it, the owner of the Philly shop is an over 50 Italian, in a neighborhood increasingly being populated by immigrants.

In any event, if all he asks is customers speak 'ENGLISH', it can't be classified as racially or ethnically discriminatory, only linguistically discriminatory - and there are no laws against that, thank god.
I can see the signs now....
"No Shirt, No Shoes, No English, No Service"

Hey how about some props here, if you check the first post you will see that I started the Rant err I mean the thread.Quote:

Ah - but wouldn't that be Shrillary then? Shillary doesn't really have the same impact.... :ehh: For some strange reason it makes me think of Shillings.....Quote:
