Thanks, but if that were the case I'd allow me to vote for myself:)Quote:

Yes, and you don't need five. One will do.Quote:

Grass
Not for competetion though, as I've already submitted my 5 photos. This is the photo that got me interested in macro photography.
I was sitting before my front door enjoying the morning sun. Then I noticed this grass and without thinking anything I took a snap (without any extra lens).
When I opened the picture in my computer, I was like - "WT*! My phone can do that !"
So, I googled. Before that I didn't even know the term 'macro'. I didn't know that there are separate lenses available for macro photography. I always thought this kind of shots are taken with zoom lens. :p
Oh well...I hope someday I'll be able to buy a $1000 macro gear.
your phone has add-on lenses for its camera???? :eek2:Quote:

Here is my 'macro gear'
2 magnifying glasses (~10 years old),
a box to hold the phone,
and a clamp that is my 'tripod'.
If I manage to shoot decent pictures (=good for web) with this setup, I'm planning to buy a pair of $25 better magnifying glasses.
5 from the archives.,...
1. Deer in Sequoia national park
2. Joshua Trees at night
3. The GT6 in better times
4. Hong Kong
5. B&W flower
dang.... I got mine narrowed down to 6..... I can't decide which one to let go...
Found this in the Everglades.... never seen a flower growing up in a tree before.
Another flower from the Glades
Point Loma Lighthouse, just south of Monterrey Bay.
Fountain in San Juan

Sorry but I need you to edit the post and delete one because I can't post 6 and I don't want to make the choice myself.Quote:

To download the full-size picture you'll need to click the http://l.yimg.com/www.flickr.com/ima...zoom_color.gif button.
I don't, so I guess Merrion needs to change his settings.Quote:

My pics won't win any contests because I'm hindered by my crappy camera (Kodac Easyshare DX430) which cannot hope to compete with any of the photo's uploaded so far, the jpeg compression algorithm was apparently written by a colourblind, retired, illiterate sweatshop worker.
Mine were from a Kodak EasyShare C350.....

I've changed the rules (I can do that :)). The contest will end at 9:00 PM PST, December 23rd.
How do you vote?
I'm going to provide a link to a SurveyMonkey survey (like a poll here but more sophisticated) where you will be able to vote for your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices.Quote:

Hey Martin, can I make a suggestion? Could you move the link to the gallery up to the first post, to make it easier to find it... I had problems finding it just now (eventually did).

I'm not a flickr expert and I don't know if this needs resizing but here's my single and humble contribution

Do I need to do something to make that "work"?
Nope, copied to ImageEvent.Quote:

Whats the photography like in your area of the world?
awesome. I need an SLR.
anyone willing to donate?
In my area of the world you can't see the sun until 8am. Till 7am it stays hidden behind fog and after that it stays hidden behind building.Quote:

My town is in the suburbs of a very big city and just after a few miles you can smell village life. So, serious photographers take advantage of both worlds.
Just opposite (south) of my house there is a large piece of land with lots of trees, a park, open fields etc. As it is the only open air area in the town, people love to come there during afternoon hours. And PhoneShooters like me just shoot whatever we like - beautiful sunset or beautiful girls.
My sunset photo was taken there.
I hope our stories don't end up here.
btw Comic Sans rocks.
