Yes - most definately the highlight of that game.
And I thought I was a sad 'character'Quote:

Have to agree. Never saw the appeal of them.
Although I like the new LOTR games strategy. The game itself is £1/$1. After all they make their money from the subscription fees. Great idea! :thumb:
Yeah but loads let you download it for free, then charge subscription
I don't play WoW because it' doesn't have the wow factor.
I dont play WoW because I dont have an internet connection right now.
Woulda had me fooled...
You guys need to play more Transport Tycoon Deluxe. It's not got any monsters in it, but its fun.
Its fun for the first 5000 hours then it gets repetitive :afrog:
1: Spent 2 years of my life playing it... Finally got bored.

$15/month * 12 months * 8,500,000 subscribers = $1,530,000,000
Burning Crusade: $40 * 8,500,000 subscribers = $340,000,000
Original WoW Cost: $50 * 8,500,000 subscribers = $425,000,000
Server's Cost: A LOT MORE than priceless.
the world of warcraft community is a cult

My $0.02...
I play WoW and enjoy it a lot. I also have a life, a fulltime job, other hobbies, and a girlfriend.
I do not have to pay for a subscription, but when I was paying for it, I had no problem in doing so.
I levelled to 60 and right afterwards purchased The Burning Crusade update.
... yeah... :afrog:
My $0.001...
I played WoW and thought I enjoyed it a lot. I also had no life, a part time job, no other hobbies, and definitely no girlfriend.
I had to pay for a subscription, and when I was paying for it, I saw my funds withering away.
I levelled to 60 VERY slowly and right after, saw how terrible the game was. I tried to become involved in a guild, but experienced too much frustration with the guild and its members. I fought with them numerous times and just quit the guild one day. I stopped playing and thought that maybe I could try again when burning crusade was released, but I decided against this. I cancelled my account and uninstalled the game. I am really glad I decided to quit WoW. I am so much happier now that I have escaped the addiction. Often times, I would become really depressed while playing WoW. It was severely harming my mental health. I didn't want to blame WoW because it was my entire life. But now I see clearly that the rain is gone!
And you blame a game for your own inability to lead a normal life?
I don't get why people play games so much? I prefer to be the one making the games ;) I get more satisfaction out of completing a program than getting to level 100 on some RPG or something!
Playing a game and "completing a program" are not mutually exclusive unless you're severely disabled.Quote:
