Re: [RESOLVED] [Win XP]How to hide drives from Guest Account but not to the Administrator's
Looks like another possible solution but then it hides it from the administrator too. With the security one they just cant get into the drive and see anything. But the Admin or other accounts that permissions have been allocated to can easily view it.

if you just want to deny the guests access to that drive, then use the security settings as listed previously ..
Add Guests to the Permissions by clicking Add, Advanced, Find, and select the Guests (plural) account; click ok and add it. Then check the deny boxes as listed in the below image, and click okay to apply.
This ofcourse does not hide the drive, but it does disable it for guests.
You can do the same for Users (plural). Once you are an Administrator then you will still have access.

Re: [RESOLVED] [Win XP]How to hide drives from Guest Account but not to the Administr
roger dodger .. :p
Now if he wants to hide it just for guest .. i cant find anything to do that ..
im no permissons guru though ..
Is there a way to create a reg key for the guest account?
I could not for the life of me do that ..
If logged in as a guest, either through "runas" or logging in manually, it wont let me create the NoDrives key .. and if that is done while logged in as an admin it sets the admin's account :(
