all programers use stuff from other programers. ex. vb all the files you use, and you use alot, are mosly from micrsoft. if you make a program to do something to make like 10 billion $$$$ you might use c++. a programer made that in the early/late (forgot) 1970's (exteramly early version of it). so we all use eachoter stuff. cause thiers too much code to learn it all.
There isn't too much code to learn it all, not if you learn the most basic building blocks of programming. There's ASM, then lower than that there's microcode that makes up the ISA, then lower than that there's electronics and binary. Btw, it was Bjarne Stroustrup.

One guy can make (and many have made) an OS, just not very big ones. It's mainly not a problem of complexity, it's mainly a problem of quantity that makes development teams necessary. A team may be necessary because they are all specialists in their fields, and don't know the others' jobs, but that doesn't mean they couldn't have done it themselves given enough time.
was that major os's like win, mac, lenux, and unix have a team. thats why thier good. and one expample of programing being diffrent is the Lego Mindstorms Robtic programing in vb. This is diffrent, alot diffrent then vb. But you still use vb. I think its harder.

ok the two last posts where really funny. cause im like that. lol! when i dont have school i wake up, and program, i miss everything. but i dont care. it cause i have so meny mp3's i like to program with music on and i have over 200 mp3's 3min to 15 min. if uve ever heard the song "y dont u get a job?" kids in my school tell me "y dont i get a life?" but i do im gona get rich from my programs, thier not. one thing that isnt true is once i get rich im gona keep programing.
i used to play games, now i only play when i go out of my mind debugging. and just so i dont go insain i play games. and i only play one game. ive become a super computer neard. who else is a super computer neard?
