Hmm, good thing, i have not touched the wheel after my last brush with it, LOLz it'll be a long time before i can drive again, i'm busy with studies. prolly i can focus on driving by december. :D

so you have to test it really good! esp that electric shock one. LOLz, i sure do hope you'll still be alive after the testing phase! hahahha :afrog:

Well, the Mono C# compiler was written in C# and it actually compiles future versions of itself. Those future versions bevome the current version and so on. It doesn't really fit the definition of writing itself but its interesting anyway.

The original compiler would have to be written in something else though for it to work on Linux in the first place...

Not necessarily. Since .net is cross platform, you could write and compile the first compiler in C# on a windows box and then run it on linux under the mono framework. Then use it to build the first self-hosting compiler by compiling itself again!
