Wow, isn't halloween the stupidest holiday you ever heard of? You got to give it to those americans. When it comes to making up the silliest and crazies sh** their the best :) Thanksgiving too :D

I think the episode of the Simpsons about "Love Day" best depicts this.

The holiday gos way back to the times of the Celts and Romans around 100BC where it was often called "All Hallows Eve" (Named so because November 1st is All Saints Day, so it was known as All Saints Eve - All Hallowed Souls)

Thanks for the correction. I always thought that Halloween was a 'left over' from the days of Inquisition and witch hunts. Which may be true to a certain degree I think.

Thanksgiving is the best holiday. I always just sit around watching football (gridiron for everyone else in the world), work on my car, and eat lots of good stuff. You don't have to worry about the whole giving and receiving presents thing. What a great excuse to not go to work.

Haven't heard you play anything, but as far as I'm concerned, any talent that you have on the synth is your ONLY talent as a musician.

I think the English celebrate St. Patricks Day more than their own saint, St George!?!

As for the Welsh we celebrate St Davids Day on March 1st and the Scots celebrate St. Andrews Day on 30th November
(Note that none of these are public holidays :mad: )
