I'll use Paint Shop Pro 4 in that case. It was released in 1996. I like it. Great for pixel work, yet simple. Atleast I can't use layers that way, unless I spend a lot of time figuring out how to simulate it ;)


Please note I don't use PhotoShop because it is pretty bad, imo :D

How about spinning mesh avatars ;)

What do you use to make cool effects on your avatar then? Paint Shop Pro 7? ;) :D

I like The GIMP, it may be slower than PhotoShop, but the GUI is 999% better to work with.

I've told that before, so you said it :) PSP8 and PSP9 aren't all that great (because they made it too much like PS). Wonder what Corel messes up with the next PSP as they bought JASC...

Did you know you can use PSP7 evaluation for free without doing any real hacking? Just double click a graphics file and it opens even after the evaluation period :D I love bugs... I mean, features.

I never found a store where they would have sold PSP7 here. In the other hand, when PSP7 was fresh, I didn't have the money to buy it. Now I could buy it, but it is so old already you just can't find a new copy of it... thus use of the "evaluation feature".

Yes it was but it requires some time to make changes for everyone. Now the snow one was good because it was easy to apply for everyones avatar. ;)

Yeah, but then everyone's looks the same. I like the idea of drawing your regular avatar freehand, think that would work.

I prefer MDK (Murder, Death, Kill) on all of your avatars. Doom Sharp would kickass as a result. Make it a massive multiplayer online first person shooter. ;)
