I was cybering to look for a method to automatically resume in Netzero and fell across that.

It doesn't work because the msgbox that netzero use is done in Java. You can't use FindWindowEx.

Even though it was done in Java, the window is still registered with the system. The class is SunA***rame, I believe.

It clicks the Netzero button when that screen comes up and gives you 60 seconds to respond or it will disconnect you.

This was submitted a while ago, than I found out you could delete some information in files to get rid of the Netzero banner, but than they detected it and mail bombed me saying I wasn't loading the Netzero banner. So I had to reinstall it and use the banner. Bad example I set. But I do use it now.

But that is a useful code I gave, and I do use it when needed :).

In order to do this Free internet thing, you have to know the phone number of the server you're dialing. They give this to you. You also have to know the username and password. When you sign up, you get this, too. Now, with this information, go to Start/Programs/Accessories/Commmunications/Dial-Up Networking, and click on Make New Connection. It will give you a wizard where you end up making a name for the connection, typing in the phone number, the username, and the password. It creates the connection for you, and all you have to do is double-click on that new connection for it to dial. Further, it doesn't run any programs, so you won't get ANY ads. AT ALL. It's just dialing into a server, isn't it? No programming included. And you're connected to the internet with it. Sweet.

You are correct Bob Baddeley. You can make a DUN connection on your own and dial up, but this is not possible with some ISPs. Say for example, Netzero, they encrypt the password when dialing into the server that way. That is why they require this "ZeroPort" to be loaded.

I have tried it, if you arent running the banner, they disconnect you, the banner-viewer send some sort of message to the server saying that its Ok to stay connected because the banner viewer is running, but if the banner viewer isnt there, you cant do it.

for example, SpinWay.com has free ISP, and they make a DUN account which has no username password, or phone #, like matthew said, they encrypt the data, and its just like the password is wrong, BUT if you could get the encryption algorithm and the key(probably the username :o) you would be doing good, but a Free ISP isnt reallyy worth that much.

the best free internet that I know of so far is winfire, it gives you a taskbar banner, and it can be docked into your task bar, you can sign up at http://www.freedsl.com and until you get the free dsl serivce they give you free unlimited dial in, BTW if you dont have a dsl modem, it costs 100 bucks and they dont supply it

so when CLICK(0), it does nothing.

Get a Windows Spy, something like Patorjk's api spy so you can get the button when the window comes up. And with that, you can use the click code. I am not sure why it doesn't work for you, probably because you have NetZero v3.0. So it might be different. Basically, find the button with a windows/api spy and then make it click.

I have already used SPY tools already to do that, but it will not pick up the button.

I was able to hide the banner using the FindWindow API call using the window's class as its identity, but now the problem is that the very second that the banner dissappears it reappears again. Do you how to go around this ?

I'm not usre if this will work, but the basic idea behind a banner is that it will remain on top of any window you open. Iwas wondering, if anyone knew how they did it ? Then, we could find a solution to hiding this

I am also a free web user but i wonder about something
it is possible to increase the timer interval.

Coz my banner timer is exetuce every 1 milisecond and
as soon a my banner appear it use a lot o processing
just for a banner whose timer could have benn easily set
to 1 sec for the same result. I think they don't care
about how much processing their software takes as long as
they get paid for pub.

I know it has benn created in VB.

Is there a way.
