Have you tried terminating a different processes?
Launch another app, then use it's caption and see if it terminates using the code I posted.

hehe, its not the termination thats the program, its the detecting if its not responding or not.
thats wat i need an alternative with, has it been able to detect it not responding on urs?

It's a tough question...How do I test if the "Not Responding" code works???
Non of my apps ever stop responding...I could theoretically write an app that automatically stops responding.
Have you searched this web site for SendMessageTimeout, or searched the web?

because if i dont terminate it when it doesnt respond, the direct draw bug in its code freezes itself and u cant get to ur task manager to terminate it.
the keystroke i have put the terminate code to works great, but iw ant the app to do it automatically
