I've already managed to knock the Vauxhall dealer from £17000 to £15700, and i've even haggled with the insurance company and managed to drop that by £1239!!!

BodwadUK... the insurance company make a huge profit on people my age (19), and there's bound to be room for improvement. EVERYONE adds just that little bit more... so they can knock it off as a bid to get the sale!

The first quote I had was from "Hill House Hammond" for the Civic... which was a frankly staggering £46780 @ 900 Excess! That's NOT a mistake either.

Although the fiddling idea may work... :D

If I go for either car, i'll be insuring it with Budget Insurance Ltd. They were dead cheap!

I think it is the other way around. it is quite well documented that the hondas chassis is very bendy and con't cope with the power. they have fitted larger wheels and hardened the suspention but this has wrecked the turning cirle an responce from the chassis. (ie past a cirtain point won't come back becase not enough lock)

The astra on the other hand has lotus to tune up there suspention and chassis's on there higher end cars (which make them sweeeeet handling cars. (eg vx220 turbo a very good handling car)

The octavia is a good car but is too heavy (good tho but i woudn't get it)

There is no such thing as a Civic Type-R.

There is the Acura Integra which is a section of Honda. Not a Civic Type-R.

I'd love to see there sales literature that talks about a Civic Type-R since it isn't on there website, AND I worked at a Honda dealer before.

I used to work there because I went for a summer and then went back to school. It's not like I was a salesman or anything, but if you honestly believe Civics are racing cars, you definatly need help.

Just so everyone knows, my replies and mostly His pertaining to my posts were just big mis-understandings. He was talking as if I was from UK (since he is there) and I was talking as if he was in USA(which is where I am)

In the USA, there are no Civic Type-Rs and you cannot get them shipped over(unless you paid out of your ass, then maybe).

Kids will buy regular civics in the USA, put a body kit, huge wing on the back, coffee can muffler and put a Type-R sticker onto the car. They look ugly and I rarely see any fast ones(most I know don't even TOUCH the engine). This is what I thought he had.

In the UK, they have factory Civic Type-Rs.

Just wanted to clear that up incase anyone looks at my replies and his and gets confused/pissed or something.
