They were more of a police action then a war. The outcome was pretty much known from the start and very few American troops were lost in combat. The only obstacles for America were political.
Initially it was still a war, and they were expecting chemical attacks.
They are now a police force but they didnt enter in that role they attacked i would class that as conventional war ;) ;)
When I say war, I'm thinking of wars where there were a large amount of casualties on both sides. I know this is not the definition, but if you look back to where we started talking about this I think you will understand my point. ;)
