You're ghosting & formatting over one startup registry message?!?!?!
Right try this one before you waste 1/2 your night with that...
1) When you boot up, press the F8 key like mad just right before you get to see the fancy windows 98 logo screen. You should see a dos type menu screen & you'll need to select the safe mode option here.
2) When you get into windows, rather than worrying about those registry keys, windows 98 provides a nicer/frendlier way to get at all the programs which are starting up when windows does - go to the start menu, run command, then type in the box which appears the word msconfig.
3) This is from memory, but I think the last tab is called startup & lists a load of programs & entries with checkboxes beside them. Any programs you recognise like easy cd creator, nero, quicktime, real etc - remove the tick beside them and they won't start the next time your pc does. There are a few which you do need here - I think one is load power profile, another the task scheduler etc so any you're not sure about, take a screenshot & post it here before removing the tick by it.
4) With the programs you know done, reboot the pc & see if that messagebox comes up still...

1) Local
2) LPT
3) NetBios
4) Options
5) Quit
1) Local
Three sub items in Local, i.e. Disk, Partition and Check.
Disk has To Disk, To Image and From Image.
Partition has To Partition, To Image and From Image.
Check has Image File and Disk.
2) LPT
LPT has two sub items, i.e. Slave and Master
3) NetBios
NetBios has two sub items, i.e. Slave and Master.
4) Options
Options has following check boxes.
1) Reboot
2) Spanning
3) AutoName
4) Allow 64K FAT Clusters
5) Ignore CRC Errors
6) Override Size Limit

1-Local --->Partition ------>To Image and then proceed to next wizards , easy stesps ;) .

One more thing I must say is : First off , install clean copy of win98 and all softwares you need . After you are done , then Ghost it to image .
