Hello Evan, gr8 game there man. Keep up the good work. I also wanted to know if we can use Character FX to make 2D character animation. Also, i want some characters for a side scrolling game i wanna make like mario, where can i get some.

Are the trees meshes or billboards?
Meshes.. since there's only one tree those 95 polygons won't matter ;)
The trees are too complicated for 95 polygons, and the other shot contains 6 of them. And those 6 all look exactly the same, which would be strange if they were meshes (unlikely they all face to you with the same side).
They weren't all turned exactly the same angle. Well can someone solve the puzzle? I'd also like to know the polygon count then ;)

Took 30 minutes to make that tree.
Ill make lots of them in the near future =)
The idea for the optimization was that I would take 1 tree (2 meshes), and draw them 600 times on the map. That would save space. So for now when it moves the mesh, it doesnt rotate it at all. So they are all facing the same direction.Quote:

Leaves = 14 Meshes x 80 Polies each

In one of the pictures with a lot of trees and those tents I read 39 or something....
I went from a 32mb vid card to a 128mb vid card last month
Fixed the terrain =)
Added an ugly tree (ill fix it later...)
thats kinda slow on the fps for nothing going on except motion.
well its the trees. They arnt low poly. Each is over 1k.
And its rendering about 60 or 80 of them. Thats why!
Cause without them it jumps to 140 fps
