LOL - so what?! No, my code doesn't look like that! Even I have limitations as to what makes scripts verbose or not!

And if you really wanna see some of my code, here's the URL to an unprocessed ASP DBMS (under construction) code that I abandoned a few months back:

P.S: Don't critiscise me because of the one-line non-wrap thing - I was using Notepad, on the "word wrap" setting. Funny, it's one of the only text editor's I know that doesn't insert wrapping chars lol...

P.P.S: I wasn't exactly referring to PHP script there (although I am venturing into it now); I meant the ";" closing character in Javascript, particularly - I'm still adapting from the client-side...

Damnit it's not Javascript...

That bloody stupid "statement-per-line" crap with VB... even the ":" character isn't 100% effective! Damn them...

HEY! Thought I'd chip in my final "two cents" (humour me, I'm British...) regarding formatting - this code is perfectly readable, and I use the same kind of formatting in every page I do - whether it be PHP, Javascript, HTML; even VBScript ASP (the ":" line break comes in handy usually; but not bloody always...):

Yeah, well, we spell "better" - it's only bloody HTML, PHP and other US developed programming languages where we are forced, for example, to spell color without the "U"...

P.S: Also, we prefer "Oestrogen" to "Estrogen", and dd/mm/yy to mm/dd/yy (month/day is a little backward...)

Oh, and we don't use the letter "z" nearly as much as the Yanks.

I've been to Canada a few times and it just seems like there's nothing there. I often joke about making it the Great American Parking Lot.
