OK, I've updated my site with house rules.
I still only have three e-mail addresses and am still awaiting the other four.
Would people prefer it if I allocated countries randomly or if I allocated them on a first come, first serve basis?

As soon as I've got those, I'll assign countries and we can get started.
Incidentally, the rules are now available from my site. They are the printed rules from the board game.
I think I get the jist of this but not too sure where the lying bit comes in.
Can you confere with sombody and get them to support you in attacking an occupied territory?
The lies start when you plot with other players, saying you'll support them in their attack on somewhere or whatever, but then don't do it. That could get them into trouble.

Obviously, you have to trust them that they will move as they promised they would and they could betray you instead. That's where the lying comes in.
However, it is recommended that you lie as infrequently as possible as people will just begin to never trust you.
If there are any questions about the rules or how to play the game generally, I will be happy to answer them.
No; Simon's giving all the eMail addresses to all the players, but not putting up here or on his site.
Once I have all the e-mails, I will e-mail them to each of the players in the game. That way, noone outside of the game will get to see them.

And the unwritten rule is that we do not do anything malicious with these e-mail addresses (ie sign to porn sites etc). Some of these are work addresses. Apart from that, lets get nasty:D

I remember when I betrayed an ally in the first game I ever played. I felt so guilty as they trusted me implicitly. They told me exactly where they were goign to move the next turn and I used that information to my advantage to deal them a crushing blow...:D
