javascript, yes
ASP, i assume you mean VBscript -- no :(
Ah, OK. And yes, I did mean VBScript... :p
i don't think it is possible for any browser that IE to have that. i think MS has some copyright on it. it wouldn't be hard to implement i don't think. not much different that JS.
perhaps i'm being dense but isn't asp completely server side like PHP. Surely the browser only sees the html/css output?
yeah, thats why i corrected him and said VBScript. internet explorer parses that locally
lol @ chrisjk & sail3005
Yes, and no other browser on the planet cares to handle client-side VBScript, especially since it makes no attempts at being ECMA-262 compliant, and, as Sail pointed out, probably involves paying royalties.
Yes, and you're also forgetting that VBScript is crap... at least compared to Javascript ;)
What's this "compared to"? VBScript is just crap, period. :)
Well...yeah ;)

Who cares about opera being able to read vbscript if VBscript sux? lol :p
People shouldn't use VBScript when Javascript Exists... and internet explorer scripters even have no excuse because microsoft implemented JScript into the browser.
My advise to everyone, learn Javascript. :)
Opera is THE BEST!
Since Opera6 released - I'm not using IE at all! Opera nice and easy to use and have much more useful futures and much fuster then IE.
And about banners - there is a trick, how to remove it.
If you want file with instructions - just mail me ([email protected])
There are banners there??? :(
how bout you just tell us how to do it here? Don't worry, you won't be hearing about some lawsuit being filed against you. Lots of stuff happens here.......
I've removed the banner, but if you want the easy way, just pay for it. Its worth it for such a good product
I use Opera all the time for straightforward browsing.Quote:

Opera has problems with DHTML
and IE is VERY handy for checking XML validity.
Blatant piracy should not be encouraged thoughQuote:

The banners support the free version of Opera - it'd be unethical to remove them without paying for the ad-less copy.
yea, be ethical guys :p
that reminds me of a video at school calledQuote:
dont copy that floppy
Sorry but I think IE is better. Most people use Windows so, IE will be the most at home WebBrowser that your gunna get, and Opera's MDI is abit annoying, cause if you want to find a window, you have to go searching for it at the bottom. Having it in the Taskbar makes things alot easier. And of course, the Ads, thats what ruins Opera. It'd be better if they didn't have them at all. Out of the Browsers that I have (IE, Netscape, MSN Explorer, and Opera)
But out of Netscape and Opera, I'd take Opera anyday.
Erm.......I think you are using really outdated software. In Opera 6 you can choose between MDI and SDI interface.
Also, Opera 6 supports tabbed browsing.Which they ripped from Mozilla ;) So you can choose from 3 diferent ways of opening documents in Opera!
hmmm, here is something for you opera haters.
it really isn't standards compliant. check out http://www.brainjar.com
that guys page is 100% standards compliant, looks fine in IE and NS, but sucks in opera.:(
This proves that people jump to conclusions after using version 4 of Opera.
Was that 2 me or sail3005 ??Quote:

If it was me, I've only ever used Opera 6
