I'm gonna give XP another shot when it reaches SP1 though. I'll tell everyone how it goes...
But it has too many bugs right now. A hell of a lot better than Windows 98 or that crap ME, but not enoguh to make me switch.
The ClearType is nice though, you gotta admit :)
I've got ME on this laptop and I cant run ePSXe or anything without it randomly restarting, i really need to put 2k on it.
Is it your laptop?Quote:

Specs? :)
While looking online for some resemblance of a EULA for WinXP, I found this:
http://marketing.infoworld.com/press...rea2.asp?ID=22
Is that true???
Basically, that article states that the EULA for WinXP "authorizes Microsoft to access user workstations at will", and gives "Microsoft the right to automatically download updates to its operating system software and Digital Rights Management technology".
I'm thinking of buying WinXP just so I can see what exactly this EULA says..
Dude, don't buy XP just to see the EULA...Quote:

I can probably get you that...I have the XP CD.
I was (partly) kidding, anyway. I do want to get WinXP, not just to see the EULA. It looks kinda cool. The only argument against it I can find (aside from this EULA crap) is that some people don't like the interface.
As I say, if you want to be ethical, "obtain" the OS first and "test drive" it. If you like it, buy it. If you don't, delete it.Quote:

Simple as that...nobody loses out, nobody's being unethical, nobody spends $100 on something they won't use.
