i actually thought the word ***** can from much later than that. from king edwards time i believe, it was written on the doors of rapists and stood for
"For Unclean Carnal Knowledge" and it has been in the oxford english dictionary for quite a few years now. but the definition they use for it is mainly the slang ones, like ***** off etc.
i could be wrong but that was how i always understood it. and was english around 3000 years ago, i wouldn't have thought it would have been that well developed.
