Well, I'm in chat a lot of the day, I'm actually in there right now. As long as I'm awake, I'm there. I'm going to be setting up a web-based chat thing.
I'll have some more news as far as project updates as soon as our own message board set up.

Also, what about the new project of Lindows, basically the same thing, a free windows-type OS for computer, the only difference being that a big company with employees is making it :p

we are still in the whatever stage were in...
Ive never hear of Lindows...(sounds gay)
Infiniti will be made by us(not some big STUPID ASS
company) Programmers(freelance ones like ourselves) SHOULD
be making the big bucks making these things but
(Most of us are toooo young to get a job)
by the time were old enough, we have grown out of vb
or, we havent worked on it in such a long time,
weve forgotten almost how to do anything(even a msgbox)
NOW, Unless you have come to HELP, plz leave us alone

Hey, Wow.. project leader went missing. Look at that... I'm back now though.
I'm going to do my best in this post to answer everything that's come up so far.
Flame and stickman: Please e-mail me word on what has been completed to date. Last I checked, flame was working on the menu and stickman was working on a taskbar. Have these things been done? Let me know.
The Red One: Please e-mail me your VB skills/knowledge... I'm sure I can find something for you to do. I like the idea of you coming up with how to add plug-in support. That'll help out a lot. I already have a developer on board working on a plug-in or two. So some way to integrate them would be helpful. The other thing you mentioned was the interface/site colours. None of that has been officially decided on yet.

sql_lall: Yes I've heard of Lindows, and I intend on purchasing it when it's released. This project is completely different. Lindows, AFAIK, wasn't made in VB by freelance programmers in thier free time. Plus, Lindows was designed and created to run both Windows ant GNU/Linux software. Infiniti isn't. If you're trying to compare us to something, try taking a look at Aston. That's another Windows shell, not done in VB, again, AFAIK it isn't, but that's a similar product.

Well, i cant lie, im not very good at VB but im not very bad either, im like in the middle.
Dont start writing plugs yet, cuz we have to set the standards first.
And I have a way to make a start menu but that's not my task.
So, what's my mission commander?

Your original post says "open source", why do you want to let people see the code we are working so hard on?

And again I went missing. I've been having major computer problems at my end and had to format. Haven't had time to get much re-installed other then the web browser. I haven't had much time to work on the Infiniti project much either, but it's still a goal of mine and I'm about ready to set light to this project once again.
Alright, that said, I've read over the forum and the posts made since my last return. I'm going to clarify a few things right now then. The original intent was a fully open-sourced shell for the Windows OS. Using the open sorce concept to allow Infiniti the ability to grow exponentialy. It seems I've been overruled on this one. New idea. Instead of releasing full code, we can release only enough for new developers outside of the core group to develop plug-ins. This will come later, though.
As the project sits right now, all I have is a task list submitted to me. I lost the mail from stickman. Thanks again. Also, I have a text file with some ideas in it.
I've gotta head to work today but there will be a brand new Infiniti discussion board shortly at my site, I'll let you all know when it goes up.
