It's amazing, you get the impression (well, I did) that a large percentage of members of the board are from the US!
It seems the board is mainly populated by Brits though!

yeah and out of the brits most seam to be from the midlands
That explains a few things. One of my friends lives in Tipton and he says that the people from birmingham hate being called brummie... but he must be talking about people he knows in Tipton :) Cheers :)
Not so sure about the midlands thing. There are quite a few londoners and a few from the south west as well.... I think it's quite evenly spread. We even have people from Cornwall, where the internet is a novelty and Decimalisation has only recently been introduced. :D

Sacramento is about six hours away from me.
I hate the Mojave Desert. I had to drive across it a couple of summers ago on my way from Dallas to Santa Cruz. Every mile or two there is an emergency phone on the side of the road and at almost every phone there was a car sitting by it where something rubber on the car had just melted away. :(
