Oh! I know what causes those waves, its when you get to many FPS. When you are at a good ammount it will look fine, Ill put in a counter and make sure it says at that ammount.

ive never played that game but maybe he likes games like that...only game ive played is red alert and it kinda looks like that but not really at all
well the houses and stuff look exactly as in not one drop different then in age of empires 2. the landscape also looks exactly the same. the trees and water do too. the pop up menu to attack is the only thing that looks different.
i dont mean to critisize just curious is u used the same engine or a .dll or something?
when i installed red alert 2 or maybe it was tiberian sun it gave me a option to have a few tiberian sun .dll's. it also added a few thing to the object browser like Bomb class, aircraft class, tank class etc. maybe it did the same thing for AOE2?

I exploited the AoE engine to give me that map. I wanted to get started on the code. After I get through the fighting, im going to create my own engine to make the maps.Quote:

I do that, then I export the frames of the character to a folder and name them correctly. I do 6 to 8 frames per direction. And then my Character Compiler looks through the folder, looks for files by name, it they start like 'Walk_N" that is a image of the person walking north. Then it takes the images, clips dead area off of them (areas that the characters never touch) and then it blackens the resisted colors to pure black so DX will worth with them. And puts them in a CHR file.

I uploaded it, its on the first reply in this thread.
There is a map in the default folder that you can use
with it. Its call maps.bmp.
When you pick the map nothing will happen. Thats
normal, and then a minute or so later, when it gets
done. It will say so, and this you will see the frames
in the root folder.
