OK.... no more bashing Americans. :) Just cause most of us are slow and ignorant, but a few of us are smart enough to get through life. What's the point of wasting all your time on schoolwork? Live your life to the fullest because you are going to die eventually anyway. Why do you need to learn a lot of stuff that you may never need to know? Like history. I don't understand why people feel they must do so well in school. If I can get a job that I make enough to buy food with, I'd be happy. I don't want to be some rich millionaire, I am just waiting to die.

LOL. That is yet another thing that I forgot to mention :)
-
Good point though. We do not use alot of the stuff we learn but we learn it anyways :) Ehem, history is a must if u wanna go down the path of social sciences :)
-
You are being taught to learn. That is the ideal. The facts you pick up along the way may or may not be useful. In writing a 10 page essay, you have learned how to do that another time. The subject matter may be irrelevant, but you now have a new skill.
Stupidity and Ignorance are widespread traits in American society, I feel, and these traits in people is what leads the world swiftly along a downward spiral.
But I agree, live your life, if that is what you want. Code your heart out.

Hahhahahhaha, LOL
Yo dam right! :D

Maybe we could rename this thread "Tiles, educational systems and the meaning of life" :D
Btw, I'm not just waiting to die... I wanna make sure I did something while I was here and I'm not just "one more" :)

You'd have to either perform some act of great evil, or great genius to be anything other than one more...
Better just to enjoy the time you've got. When you're dead, who gives a **** what you leave behind?
-
Zackly.
Plus, anything you do these days results in you getting sued by some arsehole. I know someone who got sued because these guys tried to jump a 3 metre concrete drain, and one broke his leg. They said the guu should've put fences up...
What a ****in' joke of a world we live in...

MoMad: That's why I'm a boyscout ;) (But I admit it's kinda hard to survive weeks without technology :p )
