Have you got another job lined up Stacey?
I work for a software house that is rapidly going down hill at the moment and I'm currently on site at the clients place of this project that i've been working on. One of my colleagues and I have offered are services to this client on a full time position and we will find out on thursday wether or not that want to take us on. On the plus side, is taht if they weren't to take us on then they would be absolutley fooked as we are the only two people that know this system :)Quote:

Morning all!
Today I will mostly be playing with conversions . . . Access to MSDE and Single Machine to WAN archtecture . . . . joy . . . . .
I though it was only ex Girlfriends/Wife's that bust's Pole's  :D
Hi Matt!
Access to MSDE huh? Been there, eaten the T-shirt :o
I have succeeded :(
Today I will mostly be somewhere else
The problem is clearing up some of the things that Access let you get away with like...
And the open database routines . . . generally the application was written as an Access thing.Code:SELECT * FROM tblMain WHERE NOT MainVoid
or
SELECT * FROM tblMain WHERE MainIsOpen = False
The main headache has to be the changes required to make it work with a WAN. The app is part of a suite and has a management app. that is going to be run over a thin-client. The app I'm currently frigging is a stand-alone that gets data replicated to it. You really don't want to see the architecture diagram for this beast . . .
Mornin' All!
It's about 5.10am here and I've just finished a night/morning on the piss. To use the technical term, I'm totally ******ed, so good night, and have fun. I'm off to bed.
