Yes, I wanted to know your page. Hwoever, here's the peasent. The first sketch, but he's done this time with pants and everything. It's a low poly, and consist of (Zaei, close your eyes) 312 faces. Yes, I know it's a little more than we were supposed to, but it's the lowest I managed with a rounded head and stuff. However, we'll just heighten the system requirements a bit.
For a new pic with smaller cheeks: Look further down

Heres the same one from a different angle. The angle I guess we'll see him the most

And here he is again, only here, you get a nice view of his buttox
-
Cure his mumps =). Just make those cheeks thinner, and He will be perfect!

Done
Hmm...Should I begin a new one or just finishing the other qualities, you think?

Here's the new front-pic with smaller cheeks

I wonder, can you make a skeleton next?

Sas, Igor and I have a suggestion. Could there be thieves or peasants that hide in tree near in paths going through forests and hang on coming wagon drivers with a rope and steal the money if the wagon's not guarded?
-
Well, maybe not in the tree, but people could certainly mug a caravan, and run.
-
Will there be mechanical units, like rams and catapults?
-
There will be siege machines (but not actual machines) that have strength depending on the garisonned units. You will not be able to use a siege unit unless there is someone assigned to/garrisonned in it.
-
-
Oh, and Igor? Could you centre the nose a bit?
-
-
I'm back!
I'm also starting a new post: Times of War Story
http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.p...threadid=92429
-
I've fixed it to a certain degree. I can't fix the nose completely unless I fix the whole skin...
-
Remember to post all decisions, etc, made on MSN.

Don't worry, Jorj said we should post a transcript.
-
Thanks, would you can let 'em all know that Im workin on the map, by the way?
Z.
-
Zaei, since I closed the window, I can't write a transcript, but I can summarize.
We basically noticed that we hadn't thought of some units and needed to clear out some doubts. We came to the agreement that Peasant would go up like an evolution tree to units trained specifically for certain tasks. peasants have basic skills to do almost anything, but can be trained for more specific jobs. Jorj discussed seige weapons, but we stopped cause Sas said he would place a list of units on the site. The server screwed up. So we played multilingual games and annoyed Sas to death in spanish. Sas is trying to fix the site, Jorj ... well, he had to go. I'm making up a story and Igor won't be back till sunday or monday because he's gonna go up to some mountains and stay there a bit. But he says he'll be back and bigger than ever.
-
Here was the discussion about siege weapons.
Jorj says:
There are two types of siege weapons (that cause damage): Catapult-style and Ballista-style.
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
OK
iGoR says:
Ballista is like a battering ram or something?
Jorj says:
I have drawings of three Catapult-style and four Ballista-style.
Jorj says:
We'll discuss battering rams and siege towers later, I thnk.
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
What about Rams. Ballista are like giant bows and a giant arrow.
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
OK
Jorj says:
The four ballistae are as follows (from weakest to strongest):
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
Ballista are giant bows on wheel armed with gainst arrows.
Jorj says:
Bricole
Jorj says:
Scorpion
Jorj says:
Ballista
Jorj says:
Arbalest
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
OK
Jorj says:
I'll explain exactly what they are in a minute.
Jorj says:
Bricoles are small (just above man-sized) sling-shot type weapons.
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
Light and fast, I imagine.
Jorj says:
The user woud spin a mechanism and a rock would be hurled from the arm of the bricole.
Jorj says:
Yes.
Jorj says:
Scorpions were man-sized.
iGoR says:
Yes
Jorj says:
The operator would pull the arm back and release it along with the arrow that was loaded in the arm.
iGoR says:
Now, I'm following you
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
OK
Jorj says:
More accurate than a bricole.
Jorj says:
The ballista is what Warcraft players are familiar with.
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
yep
iGoR says:
Yeah
iGoR says:
The huge arrow?
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
heh
Jorj says:
The user turns a crank which pulls a bolt back until a point when it is released causing devastating effects on a person or small group of people.
Jorj says:
Yes, the huge arrow.
iGoR says:
Is it one huge arrow or several tiny ones?
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
No, one huge one
Jorj says:
The arbalest is essentially a bigger, faster version of the ballista.
Jorj says:
The scorpion fires one arrow (like an archer but much more damage is caused).
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
OK, a big arrow
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
?
iGoR says:
of course
iGoR says:
but which one is the one with a lot of arrows?
Jorj says:
The scorpion only fires a small arrow.
Jorj says:
Many arrows? Hmm...
Jorj says:
You could load a catapult with many arrows, I suppose.
iGoR says:
I know there's one. Like a huge ballista
Jorj says:
Perhaps you should be able to choose your ammunition for the high-end siege weapons.
iGoR says:
A ballista is more like a catapult, only with an arrow, right?
Jorj says:
Let me find a web site that has pictures of these weapons.
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
You think we should add vulnerability to fire to all low and mid-end siege weapon?
KamiKazeKiwi3 says:
And have high-end catapults chuck flaming stuff?
Jorj says:
All siege weapons were made of wood. I think that there should always be vulnerability, but it diminishes with the better weapons.
iGoR says:
Yeah
Jorj says:
Yes! High-end weapons should have different ammunitions to choose from.
-
Thanks Jorj. I'm making a story now.

What does everyone think of my Guard tower idea above (second post from top, on this page).
Z.
-
i think it's good, but that the light should have a fairly good range.
-
Your tower idea would help for map editing, event triggers. Maybe we could gice the option of setting units to attak whoever is crossing the tower range when someone goes by.
-
Don't worry about names. I've got a program that linguistically creates the evolution of languages and place-names. I don't think we should start worrying about names yet.
Remember, if anyone has any non-programming ideas, post them in the story thread.
-
Surprisingly enough, doing that method seems to give you oriental-sounding names... =)
-
-
Wow. Someone elses thinks so too. "Welcome to the twilight zone....".

Well... anyways =)
Here are the buildings that I made, the church and the tower. There is a VRML 2.0 world file in the zip for each building. The GIFs and PNGs are textures.
Here is the spoiler for the church:

At blaxxun.com you can find Contact, which takes about 1 minute to download and install...
-
Goto to this link to get it, if you have it, it'll do something weird, if not, it'll ask you to download.
VRML Ver 2.0
-
So, did you view the models?
-
Um.. It's gonna as if you wanna download or open at current local. Put open... but it keeps the little working icon on... it's not workin. But the spoilers are super cool!

Quite. The pics look great, Sas! The chuch needs some bricks though =P. Here is a shot of the terrain so far. Again, its not perfect, but it is really getting there. Hopefully I will get it perfect by the end of the weekend.

By the way, thats a 257x257 terrain, rendering at 50-100 FPS.
