Yeah, we sure blew past THAT objective.
I guess Const Bored = True applies pretty widely.
Whenever one person drops out, another appears.
And some post a bunch of things in a row.
It's an odd race - there's no finish line. We just keep posting...
The arena is empty, except for one man. Still driving and striving as fast as he can.
The sun has gone down and the moon has come up
And long ago somebody left with the cup
Nice, wasn't sure if you'd get it.
Don't worry, we're going the distance alright!
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light
One fish, two fish
Red fish blue fish.
That one has a little star
That one has a little car
That one was drinking in the bar.
The Hulk died. I remember when he wrestled Andre The Giant in Wrestlemania 3. It was pay per view, we had a big party. Ah, the good old days.
Hadn't heard that. He was one of the few wrestlers I would recognize.

The post race has been dormant for too long.
We are threatened with thunderstorms every afternoon. Thus far, they have done nothing much, aside from one that brushed my Saturday, and brought down a sizable limb from a tree in my yard.
The weather is headed towards fall, here. So far, the fires have largely remained well to the north, so the air is pretty clear. That may not last.
Have you ever used a sponge so nasty that your hands smell terrible for hours afterwards?
We had about a week and a half with the temps only in the mid 80's. I can't ever remember that happening in July here. We're back to mid 90's this week, more normal.
No, it was a communal sponge in the office break room. They get a certain, distinctive, funk about them.
They do tend to soak up the petty cash.
It's the tragedy of the commons all over again. In this case, the tragedy of the common sponge. People use it, but they don't dispose of it until it eventually becomes sufficiently appalling that somebody can't take it any longer.
Used up, shared sponge
Can't get that mental image out of my head.
And I couldn't get the smell off my hands.
Well, at least not until it wore off.
I probably could have masked it by washing in something aromatic, but that doesn't really solve things.
Not much chit chat lately.
A friend of mine just bought a place in Fl called the Villages. Suppose to be the biggest senior community in the country. @ 138,000. Golf carts everywhere, I think he said there were over 200 miles of cart paths. Lots of community pools. I thought it was strange that they are saltwater.
Today was a roller coaster of emotions.
I was given another PIP, second in 9 months and told flat out that I’m not expected to succeed and to take the severance.
I talked with the CEO and he told me that he thought I could succeed but that I should speak with coworkers to get their opinion. The two I talked to (old tech lead and current PM) wanted me to go through it.
My wife tells me to take the severance and leave, and I ultimately decided to take the severance and leave to try and find employment somewhere else.
