I don't get any days off but the kids get a week and Tom gets two weeks. Tom needs a rest though so I don't feel too badly about it......I still wish I could stay home with him though.

yeah, it is always nice to spend time with Loved one's. Looking on the good side though, you americans get a hell of alot more public holidays than we do over here :) :(

I honestly thought (I read somewhere) that you had many more holidays than we did because your employers felt that it made you better employees when you get a break......I guess that just proves how you can't believe everything you read. The average person in the uk works about 42 hours a week although the government is trying to clamp it down to 37.5. It's always been a long standing grumle over here that the UK is more overworked than the rest of europe.
that we do mike, another 4 day weekend :D. That happens once a monanch is in power for 50 years, so it happens a hell of alot :rolleyes: ;)
Maybe what I read was referring to Europe not you....we have a standard 40 hr work week but it quite often runs much more than that.
