i'm just watching my poor little baby dying, minute by minute. Like I have been since yesterday afternoon. She's in agony, and there's nothing I can do for her :( She went light yesterday (going light is the first sign of death - she lost a lot of weight, and therefore can't keep warm enough) Then she wouldn't eat or drink. Her strength drained away during the night, this afternoon she wouldn't even bite me, like she usually does, then, early this evening, her brain started to deteriorate, her head's twitching, and she can't keep her balance, she can herdly walk now, she tires to walk, and if, and when she manages to climb onto a perch, she falls off onto her back, and can't get up again, because her legs aren't strong enough. Now, she's lying on the bottom of her cage, hardly breathing, blinking and crying now and again. She's dozing off now. It won't be long, I hope, I hate seeing then suffer like that :(:( :( :(

poor you. I've been there, you are there.
i've been there over 20 times, and it hurts just as much each time. I'm not going to get any more smaller birds. They don't live long enough. Imma sticking with cockatiels, and parrots in future. More intelligent, and live longer. although, in the end, there's still heart break :(
20?! :(
Only twice for me.
i lost one of my cockatiels, was only young at 4 years :( my other one, is 11 years old, and can whistle the laurel and hardy tune :D also likes shouting me :rolleyes:Quote:
