don't know weather to add google app engine : no vb.net support, requires install kinda feels not at the level of battle programming
1) Personal preference. I'm not concerned with how it looks for the most part as long as it does the job it's needed to. If it can do the job, then I have no issues with it and the look 'n feel can be upgraded as time goes on.
2) Little kids with big dreams. They are the future!
3) Those "old" compilers helped bring about what we have today. There's a reason that older technology and languages are still taught because they influenced quite a few things we have right now.
4) I think you just have bad luck. A University professor that does not embrace new technology in this field is just a bad professor. It could be that they just doubt what you have because you may not be giving enough proof.
5a) That makes no sense.
5b) That I can agree with, but are you really going to find someone who wants to kill an hour of their time to test out an "A.I."?
6) I call shenanigans. Unless you can give me some valid & solid proof of this, I will not believe anything you say on the subject.
7) Meh.

Re: artificial intelligence
I have a suggestion, lets put that proof nonsense on the side and tell me cool things you would do with A.I but try and be specific.

Bet you don't feel that way when you look at women.

Yeah, but much of it is taught because the schools aren't keeping up. Keeping up is a huge investment.

What else are college students for?

Put it into a robot that can cook me an omelete.

Re: artificial intelligence
Type "charmap" in Startmenu-->Run
You'll see the list of characters and their corresponding keystrokes will be displayed to the right side of the status bar(if any)

@Justa Lol: I hate the French/General International keyboard. It's even worse when you're a programmer.
@moti: ō isn't part of the set you can type like that.

I had to preserve that part of your statement in a quote. Read that line once a day and you will get 100% of the US recommended daily allowance of irony.

That's truly a misquote in every sense of the term :D
Anyways... whaa?

Surely it's Touch. You Touch Women. No woman has ever asked me to Touche her.
Mind you, not many asked me to Touch them either so maybe you're right.

My handphone doesn't like me touching it at places. It has a nasty habit of turning on the speakerphone when I am with my wife and talking to my girlfriend. Or vice versa.
So my phone does have a touch-me-not syndrome!
btw, this seems to be the only thread I have been participating in in the last month or so. I need to get a life.
Or maybe I need to get some AI.
.

Re: artificial intelligence
How does your wife feel about you having a girlfriend? And how does your girlfriend feel about you having a wife?

Re: artificial intelligence
An interesting question. However it's off the topic and I refuse to answer it!

Re: artificial intelligence
have killed v7's memories, her volume meter was not up to my standards no more glichy 3rd party.
it will be some tourment to evolve v5.2 to a new v7 but with the :
vb.net image slicer it will be easy to make a volume meter.
what do you think about an external volume meter, the robot will wear it like a scouter in dragon ball z
and get the volume from the parts of image in which the volume meter is visible :
a mic will be connected to several transistor's bases, and the drains will connect to leds and a b8tri and different resistors respectingly , about 2 or 3 transistors should do.
-
Re: artificial intelligence
I have two things to say to that:
1) It's alive!
and
2) Since when is "b8tri" an abbreviation for "battery"?

When I read, "my standards" I couldn't stop laughing. I'm still chuckling.

I don't know. Looking back, I think he just ignores every request to give it a try.
Again: @moti barski, please post your software so we can actually try it.

Re: artificial intelligence
Moti, take a leap a faith. You'll never get anywhere if you don't take risks.
Not that this would be a risk...
But you seem more than willing to show it to people who don't want to see it. Now that you have people who do, you ignore us.
You can't go from nothing to something overnight. People who have influence aren't going to waste their time with something that isn't proven.
This is your time, my friend. Let it out into the world!
-
Re: artificial intelligence
don't tell me to take risks, I'm not going into details but, I have risked my everything to solve the brain's algorithm.
I'm not ignoring but not under such conditions
what if some big corporation or buiseness guy will use it to mass produce chobits and I won't be able to buy the A.I girlfriend after all of my suffering.
-
Re: artificial intelligence
What are "chobits"? Anyway, I think stealing your work is illegal, and everybody here will vouch for you if a. it's actually worth stealing and b. somebody actually steals it.

Truthfully, I just want to tear it apart to show you, with actual examples, how your AI isn't AI.
No company will take your idea from you. The could hire any college student to make something appear more real than what you have.

Re: artificial intelligence
whateva I build her my self, most companies won't be able to take the idea anyways as the one's that dissed me would have to defeat me in a go game for a 2nd chance and I'm very good.

I'm not your friend pal

It's just awful trying to understand what you're typing.
What you're not understanding is that companies, profit seeking entities, don't care about a useless piece of software that could be emulated by a parrot.
I'm not your pal, guy.

I called him friend in post 871. It was an attempt to create a sense of ease. But, he chose to reference South Park and start a satirical chain of humor. Or at least I'm assuming that. So I continued it.

And you want her as your girlfriend, so naturally you will be doing things to/with her as you would do to your girlfriend.
Doesn't this sound like incest? I mean you produced her, so technically she becomes your daughter, right?

I don't actually know what you're saying. But if you're saying that not enough people have responded, give it time. You can't post something and expect a lot of people to respond within seconds.

Re: artificial intelligence
What does "dustifing" mean? Otherwise, not bad.
Anybody might like to test it, but only with the source, and not everybody who would like to test it would have the time. I'm sure it's kind of complicated, and not the GA based AI that I am used to dealing with.

I think you should try it out. Even if you are not completely satisfied with the result, it will be a good avenue to pursue.
