No wonder you could post faster than me. I'm only on a 56k modem - 4K/sec

T1 is a couple of MB/sec...it took ages to make a post so I really couldn't post fast enough to beat you.

The count seemed awfully high to me too...but I did "work" all holiday break while everyone else was off having fun...so I posted a lot of crap to try and make 3000.

I think I pulled a few all-nighters over the holiday doing my damn physics assignment...

What's worse is that I handed it in at 5:30 AM...and my teacher's got a slipped disc and can't mark it :( Not that I'm blaming anyone, though.

Quick techy question from me and td - what ports DOESN'T your firewall block? (still trying to get this chat through!)

I can't really even see the configuration....it's all controlled by the big IS in the sky. I don't know what kind of firewalls are in place. I can't have any software on this system. I can't even do development on the unclassified system. It's basically a dummy box with email and and internet connection. I don't seem to have any trouble getting anywhere but people often have trouble getting in.

I have a separate, removable disc that is stored in a safe for all my real work. It is on a system that has no contact with the outside world at all.

Oh well...see you sometime over the weekend.

Fair enough about the firewall thing -- I suppose the military kind of have some things they'd rather hide :)
