VBForums: Mafia Reloaded [Mafia wins]

Two possibilities.

I am mafia and in my supreme intelligence casually engineered this Machiavellian scheme of deception to gain public favor and awe. This implies that I possess a high degree of cunning and intelligence. Which is true.

Or, the mafia did not realize the distraction I was providing from the real mafioso and in their supreme unenlightedness, thought that I was actually a threat, attempting to therefore kill me. This implies a high degree of unintelligence on their part. Which may also be true.

We must therefore determine who among us would be capable of such an idiotic act. That would be all of you. :afrog:

Now, Shaggy Hiker did mention my name before I was killed, but for him to have Mendhak killed soon after that would make it too obvious. After all, he is on vacation and would not be able to come up with this plan. Instead, someone is targeting this man of bad poetry and verbal eloquence, to make it look like he is the obvious choice. Why would anyone do this?

Therefore, my suspicions lie with anyone who picks on Shaggy Hiker.

So far, that's space_monkey and nemaroller.

I will pick nemaroller because he has incorrectly stated that I am a doctor, since Arrow_Raider's post clearly describes another individual helping out the crushed frog.



Then again, I might have written all this to completely fool you.

(Further scrutinizers: Have you noticed the quiet yet subtle bonhomie between Shaggy and I? Are we allied? We might be...)

I would believe that you're aligned simply for the fact that I think you're both Mafioso. Naturally - anyone who was mafia would have to be "in on it" for your plan to stage your own death to work. Since this was the first time around for SH (as it is for me), I believe he was told to vote for you and mistakenly did so during the day phase and not the night phase.

dclamp, Gary Mazzone, and mendhak.

Can't we form a equal vote against these three lot?

Also, can we have a head count?

Great, thanks for that stirling endorsement of my intelligence:cry: I'd have to say that being lynched would be downright anticlimatic after that. If I believed you were mafia, I'd vote for you just because of the total slam delivered while I was blissfully asleep.

However, I don't believe you are mafia, because I simply can't find anything suspicious in your behavior.

Furthermore, I do believe Oceannebelle may or may not be mafia, but is certainly using a roulette wheel to make decisions. She's voted for pretty much everybody, so far, and I can only assume that the final name she settles on by the end of the day phase will be determined more by chance than design. On the other hand, I don't think she has voted for EVERYBODY yet. I'm too lazy to check, but Bobalandi is dead, if OB is mafia #2, then there should be two more. Is OB only switching her votes between all but two other players? If she has left out two, we should all vote for one of them.

Also by that reasoning, we should not vote for oocceeaanneebbeellllee, but should vote for someone else. There were good reasons made to vote for two people, in my opinion. While I share the reasoning for voting for Abhijit, I like the idea of voting for Pino even more. I'm certainly not sure that he is mafia, but he sure is shady.

There's nothing suspicious in my behavior and yet the mafia still didn't try to lynch me. I should have been gone last night phase, but mendhak had already orchestrated this show - so I lived. Citizens who are obviously citizens (either by behavior or the fact they received no votes) are the ones to get lynched. Mainly, due to the fact they don't contribute any confusion during day phase voting, but still have voting power.

So either the mafia is completely unorganized and not thinking clearly, or the fact I am still talking to you is proof the entire thing was a set up.

Really, Mendhak being mafia and orchestrating a mafia hit on himself with the 'hope' that the doctor would save him?

Most doctor's would probably vote to save themselves - remember, they can't save people from a civilian lynch, only mafia hits. No one knew who the mafia would hit, and why would the doctor (if its not Mendhak) waste their only saving grace from a mafia hit on a different player?

If Mendhak and Shaggy are allied - and Shaggy is the doctor, why would Shaggy assume Mendhak would be hit, and cast his saving vote not on himself, but Mendhak? That's pretty risky considering there had not been any indication from the mafia they were targeting Mendhak.

If only I would have noticed earlier (maybe 4 hours ago or something) that they were allied and OB was the doctor. How could I have been so blind to this?

That's my theory. Sevenhalo was quick to put forward the 'staged' theory which in itself holds very little in terms of logic since it's dead obvious now that I am civilian. (Also, it isn't wise to guess who the doctor is, because a civilian would want to save the doctor as well, not publicly expose the name) It was then subsequently picked up on by abhijit and with a 'weak' reason by dclamp. Shaggy picked it up too, but he wavered.

And so with sound reasoning, I pick a random one of the three mafia members...

Withdraw nemaroller (because he said some strange things up there) and I pick sevenhalo.

Pish, I pointed out the doctor vocally because in my theory - we (us civilians) got double crossed by him/her. My logic is sound. What reason did the mafia have to come after you? You didn't do anything? You barely contributed to the FUD, yet you somehow were the target? And even crazier, the doctor predicted this?

I did vote for DClamp early on but now I change my vote to Shaggy Hiker - reason - to see who shifts votes with me and accidently reveal their true role.
