I lost my snow avatar...
My avatar has been snowing for a few years.
That'll be the global warming.
I have no idea where my non-pirate theme avatar even went...
Its never Christmas in December! Remember that!!!
I've never got round to creating any themed avatars. I really should but my photoshop skills are woeful.
Static created my avatars...
My avatar created static. That's what you get when you rub a guinea pig on a carpet.
Do you actually own a guinea pig?
Nope. Two cats and a bunch of fish.
Wouldn't the correct term be a school of fish?
Not if you're giving them to a girl on the first date
Well, I'd usuually go with a bunch of flowers but sometimes I'm just not in it for the long haul.
The term is "a herd of fish" We all know when their is a gathering of a particular type of animal its called a herd :D
Oh yeah I have heard of Phish!

I've heard of phish, too, in fact, I went to one of their concerts while hiking the Appalachian Trail (which is not a euphamism for running off with my Brazilian mistress, for those of you in the south).
My avatar is what FD is talking about: A fine bouquet of fish is an appropriate gift for ANY girl.
Ah pineapple fish vase.
Two of the major food groups.
Something is phishy in my christmas in july thread
FShhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I need some of the snow to melt from the Sierras, cause I'll be hiking down there in late August through much of September....but I don't really need it to all burn up.
We just went through a weekend of 100+ temps, after a cool and comfortable spring. This state isn't on fire, yet, though it sounds like everybody around us is, so it's just a matter of time.
Well, it has cooled off due to back to back thunderstorms the last 4 days... but summer returns this week.
I was hiking in snow this last weekend. The temperature may well have been in the mid-80s, so the snow was melting fast, but there was a whole lot of it to melt, still.
We didn't get the snow that CA did, but we were still around 150% of normal snow pack. Fortunately, we also aren't getting the heat that CA has gotten, since I don't think we've managed to top 105. Still, the place I was hiking has one of the most striking examples of micro-climates that I am aware of. It's reasonably high up, but not THAT high, at a bit over 6,000 feet in the valley. Still, you can get frost at any time of the year in that valley, regardless of what the temperatures are doing elsewhere in the state. I've been snowed on in June and August, but not yet in July, though only because I wasn't there during any of the July snow storms that have happened over the last decade. Oddly, by climbing a few thousand feet, the nights can be twenty to thirty degrees warmer than the valley.
It's hotter than a fat chic's left butt cheek here in miami. Wish it snowed but it's only cold 3 days of the year...literally.
Well, it's not REALLY just three days. I remember one or two years when I got to wear long pants at least five times in a single winter when I was living in the Keys. You northerners must see more cold weather than that.
I miss July :(
Me too. The daily high temperatures are forecast to not go above freezing for the next 3 months in my area. The winter sports enthusiasts are liking it though.
Fixed it for you.Quote:
