Similarly, some people are JUST pursuing wealth. They likely started at a high level, but then they pursued wealth with the same focus as that guy pursued miles.
But think of all the things they are NOT doing because they have just pursued wealth. No matter what you focus on, you won't be doing everything. Some things you can focus on are more moral than others, to be sure. Some things you can focus on will harm other people more than others, but in all cases, if you focus on one thing enough to be world-class at it, you will not have time to do so much more.
From whatever lofty perch you attain with your world-class achievements, you can look down on everybody else and see them as a struggling mass. But do they see you as being above them, or just weird?
In the end, we're all worm food. The richest man in the world will end up the same as the poorest.
So, perhaps we are feudal. Perhaps we have always been so. I'm not sure that it matters. If you want what you don't have, you will be unhappy. If you don't want what you don't have, you will be happy. Nobody can have everything.
The difference here is that you cannot share your hiking task to others but you can share you money grabbing plots with associates.

In fact, the vote of confidence prevents any discussion of changes to the texts brought to the classroom by the executive.
The opposition, already almost non-existent, has now no sense of existence. As well as the opinions within the different parties.
We are faced with a single major party that governs Italy.
Completely ignoring the will and the needs of Italian citizens, the minorities that democracy must always respect and protect,
today in Italy they are literally persecuted.
In fact, there are several articles of the italian constitution that this government is openly violating:
from article 4 that recognizes to all citizens the right to work,
Article 13, which declares that personal freedom is inviolable, and
Article 21 that defends the freedom of speech and thought,
Article 24 which states that everyone can take legal action to protect their rights,
the right to demonstrate has even been compromised and limited.
In this state there is now no room for those who are not aligned with the directives of the authorities.
But this is a typical feature of dictatorial regimes not of modern democracies.
The press conferences called by the Prime Minister Mario Draghi are full of fake news and falsehoods: among the best known is the statement "you do not get vaccinated, you get sick, you die" issued last July, or the one that promised citizens a quick return to "normal" thanks to the green pass, as well as the security of not infecting or being infected guaranteed to those vaccinated made in October 2021.
Statements that no one dares to deny or correct, and even the few harmless questions that are asked by journalists are not answered.

As for salaries, in the US the president makes $400,000, members of congress $174,000. Seems reasonable, @ the same as doctors. If accumulating money is your goal there are better ways.

Personally I've seen a lot of people getting a leave of absence in the company but the mostly stay home with mild if any symptoms vaxed of unvaxed but i think most of the people in the company are vaxed.
